Is this a good Idea for a 40series? Will the short wheel base be a factor? Im thinking of using the Fj55 rears with 1/2 of whatever else. Is this a good plan? Any coments or sugestions would be apreciated. Ive decided That Im now happy with the front and just need to do something about the rear.

thanks Dan

I have a drop bar in the back. I made them so I can lock them out. I am glad I did. Climbing they suck. As for the ramp I think they are king. I am done with the whole revolver/buggy blah blah suspensions myself. I am going to try the F150 springs. I like the reliablity and predictibility of a normal leaf spring. I would say dont do it.

ive seen two over here running it (42" tyres and 44" tyres) and they both have massive flex, i dont know how well it works off road, some people swear by it and others reckon its crap.........

you just have to weld a plate along (make sure the 1/4 part) sits flush with the chassis (frame) so its flat, thats the main part of the fabbing, the one over here on 42s also uses a 4 link to hold it in place and has shackles front and rear of the rear spring

the other uses a panhard rod and torque bar to hold it in place....

whatever floats your boat :smokin:

yeah, or coilovers or soemthing else, but thats what i was saying whatever floats your boat, its a lot of effort to do it and keep your diff in place, so you have to wrok on links, by then, is it worth a 3/4?

for some....yes
