I posted the original Wellsville 11/10 thread, and now i'm not going. There wasn't much interest at the time so I changed plans and am going on a ride in southern Ohio w/ another group instead.

Coachgeo, look at an Ohio map. <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0"> Wellsville is on the Ohio River on Rt 7 about an hour south of you. All kinds of terrain, look at some web sites (BellyUp has great pix, I have lamer pix). It ain't the Rubicon, but there is some fun stuff there.

I've been told it's an hour or so from Youngstown. Is that right?

The guys I was going to southern Ohio w/ changed their plans so I *might* make Wellsville Sunday.

Coach, it's 50 miles from Youngstown to Wellsville. Check www.mapquest.com for directions. You just need to go straight south on Rt 7.

The Rest Stop where people usually meet is just south of Wellsville a mile or so on Rt 7 at the intersection w/ Rt 213.

9:30 at the Rest Stop? The trail head is no more than 10 minutes away. I'll post back when I have firm plans.

By rest stop do you mean across the tracks? I should make it out. It's supposed to be a nice weekend.

Belly, what's up with this show up the west coast thing? Wellsville's fun, but there is nothing there that is going to show the west coast anything! :D

One carnage. the typical broken front axil this time it was Bellyup! This break came very early on. Belly musta broke a record in time it takes to remove parts, extract brocken axil, Stuff it with a rag, and replace da wheel. From that point forward he did an awsome job of 3 wheeling. The Toys with us used their long wheel base and wheeled awsome. Good driving too even by the newbie of the group, who was a near virgin wheeler.

I, myself almost feel normal again... having some friends to wheel with again definately helps me feel at home. My last run was the Rubicon back in hmmm early Aug. It's just been pack. move, work.. occasionaly unpack ever since then.

Pics from Belly and others should be posted soon. I gotta finish my roll but they may not come out anyway due to a squashed camera.

Oh... THANK YOU TO THE GUYS WHO BECAME BUMPER ANCHORS AND KEPT ME FROM DOING BACKHANDSPRINS WITH MY TJ. tease tease.... you'll love the pics.

You guys should think about the toys for tots run in December. It's pretty mild (unless we get the amount of snow we had last year), but it's a blast, and for a good cause.....

Looks like you guys had a blast! Great stuff! Man that waterfall has claimed more front-end parts than anything else I've seen.

BellyUp, you're gonna have to come run Richland Furnace, when it's wet. Those are some great trails! We had a really good time and there's some very offcamber stuff. We didn't run but a fraction of the trails there. Dana didn't roll either!:rasta:

Our day got cut short. We were backtracking on a trail and Dana spotted a dog. The poor little guy had been splashed with gas or something and set on fire; a lot of his back was burnt, and all around his sides, ears, head and neck. He was very friendly and all, seemed to be doing ok but was terrified, so we gave him our food, some water, then decided to get him to a vet. So we just took off, we couldn't find a vet Sunday afternoon so dana took him to OSU Vet Hospital.

Some people.:mad::mad2: :mad3: :flipoff:

If he was burned then I say may they burn in hell. But..... I suspect that it was Mange (sp?) A disease that makes dogs loose hair. Scars the skin too. Wash every thing it touched pretty well just in case. Ask where yall took dog what u should do; if anything needed" to protect ur animals from getting it since it may be in ur rig etc.

Dont panic. I have seen it before.

Chit on the folk that dumped the dog out there in the first place....

Dana took the dog to OSU and it did have 3rd degree burns all over.:( I hope whoever did it is submerged in one of the stanky mudholes down there.:mad3: :mad2:

Sorry to get offtopic here.

Sorry to get offtopic here.

Folk who did this should be burned, burried alive in one of hte bogs whith cement boots so when we wheel the area we can driving over the folks empty skulls.

Assuming the dog was not in a house fire and ran away from it. Check the papers. If their was a nearby house fire his owners may think the dog is in the rubble.
