Any one know of a shift kit for the NV5600 or the ZF 6-Speed? A friend of mine put one in his 01 Firebird and it's so nice to only have to move the shifter 2 inches to grab the next gear. I have searched Yahoo and found nothing. Steep uphill grades would be much easier and overall daily driving would be less of a chore.

Thanks!

I know of a shift kit........ cut the stick down! The closer you get to the floor, the shorter the shift. Pretty soon, you could just shift with your right foot.

I can't believe people are this fawkin lazy.....

Shift Kits are typically for automatic transmissions. Changing the shift points and what not.

For a manual tranny you are referring to a new short throw shifter. I am not aware of any available for the two trannies that you listed. Just grab lower on the shifter. :flipoff2:

Hurst makes one for the NV4500, but I haven't seen any for the 5600, I love the way mine shifts...
