Will run OK at times, then it will spart idleing rough, spit and sputter, and wont rev up, then it dies. Sometimes it will start back up, other times it just turns over and wont crank. If I unhook the battery reset the computer, sometimes this will allow it to start, other times may take 30 min or longer for it to start again. I have a new coil and cps installed, It acts like the fuel and air are not mixing properly...

Sounds like the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) to me. I had similar symptoms with my MPI equipped CJ and it was the TPS. Are you getting any codes? Mine would start if I pushed the accelerator to the floor.

I had a problem with my 00 tj, it was doing about the same thing. Is your check eng light on? Mine went under water and it shorted the TPS. Replaced it and it worked fine after.

Well thanks for all of the ideas

It was the brand new coil, put the old one back on and hasn't died or coughed since. Damn Autozone!!!!
