timing should be at 10*. this is a common problem for the fords. i usually hit the case with a hammer lightly and it will unseeze it. DONT HIT IT TO HARD AND CRACK IT!

it's carbureted and the distributor doesn't seem to want to move at all

on the 460 i put in my 79 which was out of a 86 f350 i had to beat the living daylight out of the distributer to get it to turn.. i finally got it to turn. i wiggeld it back and forth many times and it eventually turned with ease. take in mind that this is a aluminum housing tho.. i have plenty of extra distributers so i wasnt to worried about breaking it
