Supposedly it's it's own setup. Not a shell for anything else. Probably pretty identical to any other blowback .22 out there but running some sort of HK-esque trigger group.

Hell, with the cost of ammo these days, I bet a few procurement officers for TACT guys would encourage the use of .22LR rounds for "practice."

Is it a real HK or is it a build off of HK parts?

i called to order one a couple months ago and it sounds like california doj has not decided if this is going to be legal here or not. there is nothing to make it not legal here but i didn't want to send my money just incase. as of now they do not have any 10 round mags in the states and have no idea when they will be here so that is another thing that kept me from sending my money. the look cool but i have some concerns about the quality. gsg is an airsoft company and is making this thing. from what i hear now, they will not be released from customs till february. and yes, i have been checking out ar15.com, but just the rimfire forum:flipoff2:

Dec. 24th, this is the response I got from DOJ.

Mr. Grima,

This is in response to your recent correspondence to the Bureau of Firearms, regarding the legality of a specific rifle in California. Under Section 12276.1 of the California Penal Code, Category 3 Generic Characteristics Defining Assault Weapons do not apply to .22 caliber rimfire weapons. However, Category 1 and 2 (weapons named by make and model) assault weapons are illegal regardless of caliber. Therefore, you should determine whether the rifle you are inquiring about is named as a Category 1 or 2 weapon, under Section 12276 of the California Penal Code.

The laws defining Category 1, 2, and 3 definitions of assault weapons in California are available to the public on the Bureau of Firearms public website, at www.ag.ca.gov/firearms, in Sections 12276 and 12276.1 of the California Penal Code, under Dangerous Weapons Control Laws. You will also probably want to consult the California Assault Weapons Identification Guide, also available on the website, under Forms and Publications.

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further questions or need further assistance, please contact the Bureau of Firearms at (916) 263-4887, or via e-mail.

Sincerely,

Brent George
