i know that chevy used the NP435 for a little while. could i use a SBC bellhousing to mate a dodge NP435/203 to a SBC? or would the input shaft have to be changed too? thanks

I have a Dodge 435, I called Novak to see about an adapter for my d300 and was told that getting the dodge 435 to mate to the sbc was hard to do. I also had a sm420 so I just went with it instead!

Call Novak, you can get alot of info from them.

Good luck.

I believe that GM only used the NP435 from 1969-1973... good luck finding one...
you may have to track down an adaptable bellhousing (like a lakewood or Hayes) then use a Dodge clutch disc with the Chev pressure plate.. you will probably need to modify the pilot bushing for the chev crankshaft too...
Nothing is impossible it just depends on how you look at the problem.

might also have to modify the input bearing retainer hole in the bellhousing(different diameters).
