: Gday Merve.
fugly 2 06-28-2002, 08:23 PM Hello Merve.
I was hoping that you may be able to help me with some info' regarding FWH's .
Do you know of anyone that makes FWH's for Range Rovers. The reason I ask
is that I drive a 80" hybrid with a 2A box/Range Rover axles.
Considering the highway miles that I do with it I was hoping to find some extra
mpg/power and save on the wear and tear of the front diff.
Australia did not get the early 110 with part time 4x4. Hence no info .
.Thanks for your time on this.
Luke.
 :D

:flipoff2:
AVM
You need to change your 606611 cvs for 110 ones though.
Ron
Strange Rover 06-28-2002, 09:10 PM Easy - just drive around with both front stub shafts removed :flipoff2:
But to do it I think you would have to convert to 110 cvs and then get FWH for them.

fugly 2 06-28-2002, 09:23 PM Evilfij....search...what do I look like ,a police/customs sniffer dog?.
Apart from that thanks for the info.
Sam you've seen my driving style[?] so your idea will probably work just fine:flipoff2:

evilfij 06-28-2002, 09:43 PM Ah use the search button at the top. Search AVM or FWH rover and a few threads with the necessary info will come up.

I like your signature. If you search 1 ton cv you will get the part number and the other parts you need.

I think sam's right, to run FWH you need to need to go to 110 bits.
If you can find out the part numbers of these (someone here may know?) I'll put 'em on my shopping list for Billings.

Merve.
Thank you.
Now that I know it's feasable I'll do some leg work over here
to see what I can get .
First car that I've had Rangie diffs under. Considering the hassles
that I have when I go to buy parts for it now [ the parts guy just has a fit when he see's it ]. Just thought I'd ask here if it was possible.
Luke.
fugly 2 07-02-2002, 08:03 PM Just got off the phone to ARB .They sell a kit here .The part no' is
446 ,price 0z$ 454 .
If it helps any oz lurkers their phone number is .073 32772020 . They also sell a kit to convert a lt230 to part time 4x4 .
The bloke I spoke to was Mark .Very helpful and friendly .
All their kits are from AVM .
Other two Landie places I rang in Brisbane said they thought that it couldn't be done .So much for the experts .
Three cheers for Pirate:beer:

I rang them this morning ,and he is trying to get a price for me .
Should know by the weekend .From what I can gather the kits come from the States so the price difference should make for interesting reading .[ who's getting ripped off the most ] .
All I know so far is that two kits are available lt230r and an lt230t.

Rang ARB in Brisbane , they in turn rang Melbourne and no-one there can find anything about the part time lt230 re' price or availabilty even though their catalouge shows it .But wait it gets better .They can sell you a kit with FWH's to suit a Rangie/Defender front axle but so far no part time 4x4 for a lt230 .Go figure !! .I'm thinking they're not selling many .
