Anyone done this trail from Hemet to Idyllwild?

Or any other trails in that area? like Old Control rd. 5S06 ?

just looking for something to go exploring on and maybe find some snow. Was just going to take our stock 4-runner with the wife and dog.

im pretty sure i have been on that road. it mostly runs north/south more from palm springs to idyllwild. this is mostly a dirt road, but it can be fun in some parts. guaranteed great scenery year round. you can also find some little trails that lead off to dead ends, but are very secluded an peacefull. every time i go up there (my grandpa owns two cabins on .5 acre on strawberry creek) i hit that road and have only seen a few other people on it. its alot of fun if it has recently rained/snowed. this is a pic of one of the more secluded spots. there was a little trail that went through some brush and opened up to a big flat meadow. its common to spot deer here...
