i'm looking at a chevy 3/4 ton 44 set up for high steer and .5" spacers. i know the 60's need special high steer arms for clearance when running hummer wheels, but do 44's need them as well?
thanks- russel

I have Roggy's stepped arms on my 44 (8 lug Chevy) and I use 1" spacers to clear the TRE (actually, it's the TRE, not the actual arm on my setup that hits).
I bet rod ends would clear without spacers, not sure though.
I asked around....called Twisted Customs, Roggy Wagoner and a few others a couple months ago, no one had plans to make them, but a couple places thought it'd be a good idea.
With EBs, most jeeps, some Toys, and Scouts all having similar track widths, I would imagine there would be a market for just such a product.......considering the recent popularity/availability of hummer wheels. Full width axles and hummer wheels makes it possible for me to run cheap full width axles (no custom shafts, etc.) and get beadlocks while keeping tread covered (a concern in some states).
