I'm looking for an adaptor to mate my TCI TH400 with a 32 spline 2 3/8" shaft to a 4.3 atlas. The TH400 is supposed to be a replacement for a 700r4 if that makes any difference. AA told me I had to get two adaptors, but a guy at the local 4x4 shop said I could get an adaptor from a '93 chevy dually with the 4L80E tranny, but I would have to modify one of the holes on the adaptor to make it work. Is this guy right? If so, I'm sure there are other trucks with this adaptor so my question is what year and make should I look for and what T-Case does the adaptor mate to the 4L80E?

I did a search and came up with some stuff but nothing exact. I could have missed something though.

you should beable to use a 400/208 adapter . might redue a hole , there are two designs the foot onthe bottom has a different height one is 7-3/4 inches tall and theother is 10-3/4 tall these are factory g.m. 400/208 adapters . using the atlas there is no need for a place to mount shifter just my 2 cents

That sounds a little easier to find than a 4L80E adaptor. Anyone have other suggestions or second what partsjunkie said?

i run a th400 and an atlas. i used the th400 to np208 adapter and get the atlas with a 32 spline input. i did have to redrill one hole in the adapter. the adapter mount was too tall for what i wanted so i cut about 1.5" out of it and welded the foot that teh tranny mount bolts go into back on.
