after all the hassle you'll go through, and the price you will pay.... it'll probably be better to just put an electric fan on

just my 2 cent opinion

Just make yourself one out of sheetmetal and rivets, pretty easy, had to do it once for a Chevy PU with a swapped motor.

If all else fails, the stealership can still order them.

Did you just use sheetmetal/rivets? Or did you add anything else to help support it ? (For instance, I'm thinking 1/8 rod tacked around the fan opening to help stiffen it up in that area). Overkill?

I've go to (want to actually) make one up for my '69.

Thanks

Sheesh you're not helping much.:p Aftermarket repro ones are due out in a few weeks. (cheaper than Mopar)

Sheetmetal (the kind you use for ductwork) and rivets is all. It didn't need to be very deep, fan was pretty close to the radiator. If it needs to be more than a couple inches deep you might want to support it at several points. Then just bolted it right up. And just to be anal I did use some clear silicone at the joints.

Thanks for the reply. I've got this bad habit of over-building stuff....... :smokin: I guess it's genetic, but it makes me happy.

Yeah, and you could use flashing too. You can get it at Home Depot, Building materials section, on the roofing aisle, near the attic fans and the tin roofing. :D :D
