So I picked up my girl from the body shop today and the work was good. it turned out a little more expensive than I had planned but doesn't it always. The holes in the roof are gone and the roof is nice and smooth waiting for paint. The rear sliders are much nicer than having all four windows rolled down because you get a nice breeze through the truck instead of the Land Cruiser tornado.:D

This is the only thing I wasn't real pleased with. His definition of using some window sealant to smooth around the window and mine are a little different. I envisioned something like a small bead, he instead used it like body filler attempting to smooth the line of the window into the body. i knew going in that these windows wouldn't mount flush but whatever. He insisted that the rubber sealant can be painted but I'm not so sure that it won't end up cracking the paint because of flex later on. I think I'm gonna peel it out and redo it with thesame sealant, just a little bit less and a lot smoother.;)

Is the same guy going to do the paint?

What color did you decide?

I like the windows!

No, the same guy isn't doing the paint. :D It's a 90% probability that it will be orange unless something drastic happens in the next 2 weeks.:D

i'm jealous on the sliders...are those the non usa version? how come you didn't install them yourself to begin with...if you want it done right, do it yourself.

p.s. don't destroy that nissan by putting a dodge emblem on it like toytech says...i have a dodge now and i've had a nissan (datsun). the datsun was far better than the p.o.s. dodge.

Are those OEM windows, or are they the ones that Spector sells? I understand the the Spector windows are more like a generic RV-type window, that the fit is not good, and you really gotta use a lot of sealant to fit in the gap. Just wondering, wish I could get my hands on a set of OEM windows without spending a small fortune.

I got those OEM windows from Spectre, they have about 15 sets. In hindsight I shoulda done it myself, I just didn't have the time. Now I get to go back and bat cleanup on the project.:D
