: 2007 Dodge Cummins
bignissan 12-31-2007, 04:33 PM Locally they've got them for $15000 off MSRP, putting a Crew Cab long bed, 4x4, Cummins, Auto for $32,000 out the door.
I'm a Ford guy, but after driving this truck....I may be a changed man!
Not sure if I'm going to do it yet or not since I don't NEED a truck, but I think it's a good deal. I did talk to them breifly and he wanted 6600 down and 890 a month, so I've got my financing set up already should I choose to do it.
What have y'all paid during the year for your trucks?
SolidAxleDurango 12-31-2007, 04:50 PM 6600 down and 890 a month?? What terms??
Anyway... I've got an 07 with the 6.7. Love it. 13,000 miles and zero problems. Pulls 18k without much of a sweat.
Mine is quad cab, slt, 4x4, dually, 6 sp man. Sticker 46k out the door for 34.5k
BamaSahara 12-31-2007, 05:40 PM I got an 07 5.9 for 33,500 out the door back in Sept. I added a bunch of stuff like line-x, leather, sirius, tint and B&W ball so it drove the price up some. Not a bad deal, I have a couple buddies with the 6.7 and they like em.
bignissan 12-31-2007, 06:47 PM 48 month term!
I'm going to talk to them tomorrow and see what the deal is. But if they piss me off I'll go down the road. If I can get it for mid 30's any time of the year then I'm not as pressed to deal now...
crashnzuk 12-31-2007, 07:37 PM A buddy at work told me his dad just bought an 07 5.9,auto, quadcab, longbed, 4x4 for $29,500 earlier this month. He said it wasn't loaded, but not a stripper either.
Travis..
Sillyneck 12-31-2007, 10:07 PM sounds like a smoking deal! I paid 30 for mine w/ 18k on it back in 05
bignissan 12-31-2007, 10:54 PM First off, Happy new years!
Now- I've got a deal in my mind worked out...if they take it, I'll buy, if not I'm walking out again like I did today...
I'll keep you all posted and let you know what the deal is.
SolidAxleDurango 01-01-2008, 05:46 AM 48 month term!

Even if it was a ZERO interest 48 months... That 6600 down plus 890/month works out to be a $49k truck..
NEVER.. I repeat NEVER purchase a vehicle on "terms".... You only buy a vehicle based upon price... Then you work terms.
Just about anywhere in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana you should be able to walk in the door and no-haggle a new Cummins powered Dodge for $10-12k off sticker. If you can't swing that, then get yourself an $89 Southwest ticket to OKC and we'll go get you one.
bignissan 01-01-2008, 06:02 AM Yeah, I told them to shove that deal and walked out.
I'm going to see what they say today, but I'm not going to do the back and forth bit. I've got what I want on a piece of paper, if they hit it, I'll buy. If not...I'll buy else where later on when I actually NEED a new truck. But with 15k off the top for starters, that's a good deal as long as the financing isn't ragged.
I base everything on bottom line price, what I'll end up paying at the end of the whole shebang.
bignissan 01-01-2008, 06:04 AM Oh, also my bro lives in Skaitook (SP?), OK, so it's no issue for me to make a flight there to drive a truck back.
RSWORDS 01-01-2008, 07:03 AM Got 0% on my 06 CTD for 60 months at $460 w/ $1500 down... Power everything, Auto, Sport package, 4x4 Quad cab

I second that the terms they put forth are jokes the majority of the times...
bignissan 01-01-2008, 02:39 PM Well.....the guys are being Jack a**es so I walked. They have ads in the paper for todays last day event from other dealers for the same truck in the $25k range. I am tired of haggling and crap. The best I got with these guys even at $25k base price was $3k down and 600 month for 60 months...I don't think so. When I am actually READY to buy (read, really NEED the new truck), I'll just wait for the 0% deal again on the new year and get exactly what I want. Long story short....I think I may be sold on Dodge now...screw you guys for being right all along...:flipoff2:

Winner here!!
Never pay more than you want, never tell them what you will pay a month, never tell them you have a trade in untill you get it for the price you want, then play your cards. You take control of the entire process or walk.
I bought my truck on what I wanted to pay & I was not going to pay more then 25K no matter what rebates/deals was going on, payments/interest meant nothing unless I got the truck for what I felt like paying.
Got my deal & truck I wanted (Silverado LS) & with all the options I required, NOT what they wanted to sell me.
CJHeap 01-01-2008, 05:56 PM What dealer are you dealing with? I am in the market also.

bignissan 01-02-2008, 04:34 AM Tomball Dodge on 249.
The thing that sucks is that I really like the Dodge trucks now, but I've dealt with 2 Dodge dealerships now that had HORRIBLE customer service...

So, what was the deal? I am not being offered anywhere near that kind of rebate. I found a crew cab sport I want but they ar eonly offering 4 k off the sticker at Helfman. :shaking:

Wait till after tax time as Chrysler is in a bind right now they will come way down trying to get all they can.
bignissan 01-02-2008, 07:59 AM good news!! Thanks rocknbronco.
The deal is $15k off sticker...plus LOT in financing...pay cash if you've got it and get a great deal!
rocknbronco 01-02-2008, 11:29 AM If they will take cash alot of places wont now my brother ran into a lot wanting only to run it thru credit so my bro walked away with 35K in his pocket and they lost a customer for life.

I can't imagine a place NOT taking cash... Somethings missing from the story.
Perhaps to get the "special deal" he had to finance it thru Chryco Financial? And if so and the deal was good enough, then run it thru, and pay it off on payment #1.
rocknbronco 01-02-2008, 12:48 PM The place was a Ford dealership, that is what my family drives and drives us, Lee-Smith for in Chattanooga. Alot of the places here dont take cash anymore, yeah I know hard to belive asthey get more money off the sell if they finance it.
Ten_Bucks 01-02-2008, 05:19 PM Try talking to Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, Idaho.

Its the same story with "Cowboy Dodge" dealer here in town, the service sucks before & after a sale. Its got such a bad reputation in this area for everything it tries to do to screw a buyer over.

Unless you can get the factory 0%, you should be getting your own finacing at a credit union. They will most likely have the best rates and no smoke and mirrors.
awauld 01-03-2008, 05:01 AM the friday before christmas, I picked up an 08 dodge 2500 sxt, with the 6.7 cummins, 6sp auto, loaded megacab, stickered for 49900, out the door for 39300,
