Spent a few mornings last week driving about an hour out to my tree stand and freezing my ass off. I did not see *one* deer.

I just went out on my back porch to put a casserole dish out to cool and what runs right past me? The biggest damn buck I've seen all year - dead or alive. I could've thrown a rock and hit him. looked to be over 8 points and he was absolutely huge for a southeastern whitetail. Just runnin' along right through my backyard.

Yesterday was the last day of hunting season - go figure.

Saturday is the last day here and I will be chasing a nice 10 pointer all day. He hangs out at the front of the property and has had 7 yes 7 does with him everytime I have seen him the last week. Didn't figure they would be following him since the rut is over though.
