ENCO has the 3M Roloc Discs on sale for .75/each when you buy 25 for 2" and 1.10 for 3". That's 5cents each cheaper than amazon BEFORE any coupon.

Does anyone have a working 10% or more coupon for ENCO??? Would be nice to take some more $ off before I order up :)

BTW: For prepping steel to be welded can I use coarse for everything or is there any reason I'd want to use medium???

i like the 3" and buy 36 and 50 grit. i use the 36 for removing material and 50 for removing paint, rust or mill scale.

sorry, i haven't seen any 10% coupons in a while.

You talking about the sanding ones or these (http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INSRIT?PARTPG=INLMKD&PMPXNO=20931248&PMAKA=RS505-6242). I only see these in Coarse, Medium, Fine and Super Fine.

sorry about that. i didn't even look at the link and just assumed they were the sanding discs. i don't use those very often but i think i usually get the maroon ones, what ever grade they are.

Maroon = MEDIUM :D

Man, I wan to order some but want to save 10% more!! Damn it they are due for a new coupon the SEMA 1 just expired a couple days ago, and so did another 10% one.

I wonder if I call and say I meant to order but forgot if they will give me the 10% off and free UPS shipping :D Worth a shot.

The only time I use scotch-brite pads is when I am doing finishing work. I generally use browns, then blues. Gives a smooth enough finish so sanding marks aren't visible after painting. Purple's are practically a sanding disc. I rarely use them. Only on something where I need a smoother finish than a sanding disc, and a flap disc tends to get chewed up.

wbj8p free shipping on orders over $50, not sure how long it's good for, but it's working right now

Nope, I found them on ebay for cheaper.. working with seller right now to get them even cheaper when I order 50 coarse and 50 medium... w/out a special they are still right @ 30$ shipped for 50. Hoping to get 100 total shipped for $50 :D (Yep, 3M brand too).

I picked up a couple different brands from Lowes and Home Depot today just to give a test since I had a few $$ in gift-cards and they were <10$. They came with the roloc backing plate so it was a wash in cost... as I needed them anyway and got some sanding discs, and diff. grit 3m pads.

I`ll update when I test.

$58.50 for 100 of the 3M pads shipped. MUCH cheaper than ENCO, even with 10% off and free shipping. :D
I shouldn't be needing any of these for a while!! I`ll probably snag some 'sand-paper' ones next.

Small price to pay for cutting the task time by probably 50%.
