Thought I'd check the interest for a sourthern Oregon/N. California zuki gathering. Anyone interested post an idea of when you could go and where it ought to be. I am committed to the zukiworld run over by Lapine Oregon on August 2-4. Other then that I'm open for times and places.   :flipoff2:

Know anyone else down there that would be into it? Been talking to a few people on the Off road board about doing something in the N. Cal area.

That would be cool, I am getting some 4.62's out of a tracker, so I plan on getting a hybred housing and puttin that on in the next month, then by spet. I will have my Nissan case put together as well. So I will finally have some decent gearing!

Nissan Case?

Yep Nissan case, they are just about the right length to fit where the intermediate shaft goes. A buddy of mine is fabing up a complete new skidplate/cross member right now. You lower the stock x-fer a couple of inches, thats the only downfall. Anyway the nissan case has a 1:1 high range then a 2.09 low range nothing spectacular but when you can find the cases you can get them for less then 100.00. Combine that case with a stock zuk and you get a low range thats higher then a GRS1 and just a little shy of a GRS2, but you get to keep your highway RPM's lower then just a grs2, and it'll cost about half the price or less. The kit he's fabing up will run about 225.00, then figure 100 max for the nissan case 325, so thats less then the price or gears for a grs1. Just think though if you had a grs1 or two already you'd be up there about as low as the sumo gears.

Works for me, I am going to try it for a total investment of less then 400.00 I am willing to try it. I scored on a set of tracker 3rd members for 75.00 + shipping, there only 4.62 but oh well.
So what time of the year are you thinkin?

That sounds good do we want weekends or weekdays?
Side note: I just bought a set of 4.63 sidekick thirdmembers for 100.00 + shipping! So I will have some real decent gears by then.

kestrel- Are you going to be going down to the rubicon for the calmini customer appreciation run? I was thinking we should try to put this run togther either well before or after that even. I emailed Brent over at TT and asked him to spread the word and see if he or anyone else would interested. When he gets back from the Melt I'm going to get my hybred rear end and tracker gears installed. Probably going to have him throw in a locker in the front as well because he doesn't charge for the install if he does it when you do your gears.
