I have PSC on mine. I have had one issue with it. All it took was one quick phone call and they took care of the problem. I dont know about the other places but PSC stands behind there product and are really good to work with.

Do a damn search!:shaking:

This has been covered numerous times with everyone having differing opinions as to whose is better and why.

In case you are lazy, try this. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/search.php?searchid=2062031

Is it Tuesday again?

PSC has a great product and A+ customer service in my own personal experience. I've only ordered one small item from Performance Offroad Steering (Station) and it was a steering wheel disconnect, but he was real cool on the phone and got it out quick which IMO is very important.

Howe might be a little higher, but maybe worth it. I have received great customer service, they have quality products, and they have been around a long time. I would go with the one of the three you like the best, seems they are all well represented. MY $0.02

DAN That $1350 don't include a fan assited power steering cooler.:flipoff2:

I went with PSC. The others vendors sell a good product too.

i went PSC.... 2 years later i have had zero problems... im still using the stock pump also.

looking back, i would have used POS(station)'s stuff had i known he was down with pirate as much as he is... im pretty sure i could have gotten even better prices, and a better product from him also- ill be using him next time i need a full hookup :)

POS is the way to go. Stations product and wealth of knowledge are the best around IMO.

I have a rig with PSC (YJ on big axles with 40's) and a rig with Howe (CJ7 with big axles on 40's), as well as a Surplus City special (CJ7 on 37's with mild axles, 60 and a 44). You get what you pay for.

The Surplus City works better than stock and the rig is fine with 37's. It has kept stuff from breaking, but lacks speed and ram stength (nothing broken, just doesn't push as hard or fast as the others). Biggest plus is price on my kid's budget rig.

The PSC works OK, and for a trail only rig is fine. It lacks road feel and I am not as comfortable with it at high speeds on dirt (like between obstacles in the lake bed at 50 mph or whatever).

The Howe is the best of all worlds, IMO. It is designed for your rig (stops are set in the ram and box to match your steering geometry), it has good feedback and road feel, so my comfort level at speed is much higher. It is better on the road as well.

To me this all makes sense. Howe has been designing for Baja type racing for years and that puts them in a place where they are designing for hardcore steering for the rocks as well as speed between obstacles on dirt, gravel, pavement, or whatever.

That's the kind of feedback I was looking for thank you for chiming in....May I ask how much the Howe system was?

Anyone else have an experienced point of view?? Anyone else who's had experiences (good or bad)with one or more systems would make this a great thread.

I don't mind supporting vender's on this board, or your fav. supplier, but I and others are looking for solid feedback on your feelings about the system you purchased I.E. safety, response, dependability, mishaps, engineering issues?? I read the right up camo did on the P.O.S....does anyone using this system have anything to say ??

Thanks in advance for any input.

RESQME He said it all. Those are the reasons I recommended Howe. Tons of experience and build system to your needs. Good luck.

For the complete system it was about 1350 as I recall, but don't take my word for it...I'm not sure.

What I will say about Howe is you will need some downtime for your rig. They typically will send you the box with no stops in it, which you bolt in, mark where you want the steering to end to the left and right according to how your steering is set up, and then send the box back to them. They dissassemble the box, weld stops into it at the appropriate limits and build stops into the ram they send you. When you get it all back and install it you then have to set the ram up to fit the stops in the box.

It isnt' difficult if you have basic fab skills and can read simple directions, but it does take a few weeks to get it sent back and forth and right. Once it is right...you'll love it!

This thread started as a full hydro, but has turned to a mix between full hydro and hydro asist. So wich is it you want, you can't have the best of both worlds.

I'd like this thread to stay full hydraulic but resqme gives some incite to a comparison between the Howe assist system and his own experience with full hydraulics. That could be useful for someone tittering on the edge of making a decision and for about the same amount of cash.

So lets here more! What you got? Do you like your full hydo systems??....Do you think they could be better?..Do you wish you went with the Howe assist system instead anyone?

Lookup up Hero here on the board, he is Station's right hand man and handles the day to day quotes, info, etc. Also, most people have more things to do than read board messages. Pick up the phone and call POS at 334-567-7229.

Try PSC. Lance has the quickest answers you can get from a vendor here. Customer service and tech. support is what i needed and only Lance helped me out within minutes i send him every email doing newb questions. Look for PSC Motorsports username.

The only problem I,ve had with my POS system is I have knocked the ram out of its mounts. I have the tube clamp type mounts. He has changed the ram and mounts. They now have gooves that lock the ram in place. I fixed mine by welding collars on to my truss next to the mounts so they can't move.
