Does anyone know of any tubeless tires that will fit a 16" wheel with a tread width of less than 7". The skinniest I can find are 235/85/16 which are about 9" and they put my trailer over the legal width.

I have some 225's in a 16" but they are are passanger car tire. I believe you can get even narrower but the weight capacity gets less as you go smaller.

I think 7.00x16s are narrower, but they are taller than the 235.

Curious.. are you being measured for registration ? at the tread or tire bulge ?

Good point. Technically my mfg. built trailer is over 102" at the sidewalls, but both north dakota and kansas measure the footprint.

yup, I've got 7.00x15's on mine and they are NARROW, and would work... but they are probably taller than you want.

Thanks for the replys, I am going to head down to the tire shop and measure 7.00x15. Im not being measured, trailers aren't inspected in Texas unless it's a traffic stop. Even with seven inch tires I am going to come out at about
105", just hope I dont get caught

do you have room for a wheel with a larger backset.
