Swapping mine out and it's only been on since this spring but I saw there is a good film of rust on the gearbox splines and arm after only just that long.
Anti-seize it or not?
I'll probably stay on there better if I didn't ... you'll know how hard they can be to pop of older installs ...
But I'm not sure if gooping it is a safe idea.
Opinions?

I did it to mine. I can't see how it would hurt since it's splined and it has a lock washer. Where's it going to go ? I say goop the hell out of it ! I put Husky 2000 on the pitman arm and splines and used a little lock-tite on the threads for the nut even though it had the lock washer. Make sure the lock washer is still good.

I think that its a good idea to put it on the splines.

Well, that was one of the reasons I asked...
I had a dropped arm on for a while, then changed to a straight stocker this spring, now I'm going back to a dropped arm again.
Funny thing though, the nut wasn't very tight anymore so the pitman must have worked up a little on the taper.
And it was the original 25 year old arm so it's not like it needed breaking or wearing in either.
I had to use a puller though ... it was on there pretty good.
The loose nut bothered me though.
I'm gonna goop it but best I should check it every now and then along with my U bolt nutz.
Thanks for the replies ...
