Guys, I have what I would guess may be a simple question. I have an old Linde mig welder and it needs a new mig gun assembly. Are these universal or am I going to have a hard time finding the right parts for a Linde welder?
Thanks in advance!

I just bought a lincoln wirematic 250 and the gun had beend replaced with a profax 250 mig gun. There web site list many conversions to use the gun with may want to check it out and then I saw them pretty cheap on ebay. mine is new but I wanted parts for it and the local weld shop had part rediculasly cheap which made me happy. My suggestion would be take the welder to a welding supply place and see if they have anything to fit it.

Take the gun in and match the machine end up to a universal tweeco or whatever they have.

Thanks again to those who replied. I finally got around to taking the mig gun to my local welding shop and they basically told me that I'm screwed.
Looks like I'm going to be looking for a new mig welder. :(

sometimes thats like going to autozone and if you need a part they can not find it unless you have a make and model number. Try
http://www.profax-lenco.com/ or even call up
http://www.htpweld.com/products/mig_gun_parts/index.htm they may research the parts for you they offer to do that for my old Lincoln welder. I wouldn't give up so easy. But need to put a limit on how much it is worth investing in this unit.

Yes, and the shop that I frequent is an Esab dealer. I'm not sure how long the shop has been around, but they seemed familiar with the Linde stuff. They didn't flip through any books looking for anything however.
EDIT: The mig gun in the link you posted looks very similar to the one I have, but I wish they had a better picture to verify it.

I'm not going to put too much effort into it considering that it isn't really worth that much to me. I didn't pay much for it and wouldn't mind getting a better machine anyway. Unless I find something cheap to get it working again I'll probably put this gun back on there and run flux core wire in it so that my dad has a welder at his house.

Bernards are the best you can get and they will build them with whatever you need on each end plus the length you want.
http://www.bernardwelds.com/
you can build your own gun on there site.
and you probly will never have to buy another one.

I dont agree with the above... I have 2 brand new millers and they come with free bernard guns now, so i tried them.
the machines are a millermatic251, and a dimension 652 if it matters. the bernard guns have the gas diffuser way in the back of the nozzle, and tend to get clogged up with spatter very easily, whereas the miller style guns, or twecos, dont. Just my experience from seeing it 10 hours a day.
For my money I like the roughneck guns from miller, but again I am a little biased towards the blue.
