I just installed my calipers on my 14 bolt and dana 60. I'm using 1977 K20 calipers on the rear and stock dana 60 calipers up front. Well i'm getting ready to have a local guy build me some custom s/s braided brakelines but he needs to know what fittings. I found out throu the search that the dana 60 uses a 10mmx1.5 pitch banjo bolt, and that the dana 44 calipers use a 7/16x20 pitch banjo bolt, but i cant seem to find the correct info for what fitting i need to connect to the hard line at the frame. I found out that the hard line is 3/16 on my 82' K5, but i've seen posts that talk about a -3AN fitting, (which mentioned something about 3/8-24 thread or something along those lines) and a 3/16 I.F. fitting which connect the flex line to the hardline. I also went down to my local carquest and i asked them about the -3AN fitting and they didnt understand what i was talking about. My question is what is the difference between the -3AN fitting and a 3/16 I.F. fitting? And if there is a difference what should i have the guy use? Thanks for the help in advance.

an fitting lines make it cheap and easy to get replacement lines. But then you have to buy adapers to fit the calipers.

There is also very good sites, to read about this stuff. I would look here at to get an idea of what you really want.
