Anyone use a Gear Vendors behind an auto for desert racing? Seems more gearing options would allow the powerband to be more consistent and easier on the engine. I don't like the gaps in my turbo400 so I'm considering options.

If I had the money, it would be in there already...

The only downfall, you can't use them with a 4WD set up. Otherwise awesome product I also want to add to my chase truck.
Very HD, and trouble free.

I'm looking into the 2wd model as this would be for a desert only truck/buggy.

We had one in a 460 dually tow rig. Awesome for pulling heavy trailers both up and down hill. Always a nice gear instead of lugging or over reving. Some of the trucks we race against in CORR have them too!

Contact Marshall Madruga that is building the TT Big Oly Bronco. He ran one in his class 8 behind a C6 for quite a while and is putting one in the Bronco behind a Power Glide.

My buddy had the US Gear Underdrive in a 2wd truck. Worked good to move a heavy load in sand or up a steep driveway or hill and then you shift to direct drive once on the level road. Drive (3rd gear) underdrive was the perfect gear for towing up long grades--not to low and not to high with 4.10 gears. Slight gear whine in underdrive but we usually did not use it constantly unless on a slight incline or bucking a big headwind.
