the truck already has a flowmaster catback dual system on it, but it needs more power. can anyone reccomend a chip or intake that makes a significant difference?
when the air fliter needs to be replaced it will be a K&N, so thats a given.
comments?

You can get a power programmer from hypertech.

About the biggest increase you can get is from a supercharger (also the biggest outlay of $$$), you can also try headers....

I would buy the FIPK instead of just the K&N. Just my $.02 Here is the link. Not sure who has the best deals on them.

I've got the 7.4 in my motorhome and just put the Banks power pack in it. I really notice the difference, especially towing. It comes with stainless steel headers, 3.5 - 4" exhaust and dynomax muffler along with a relocated FIPK kit for cool air intake with a K&N. It really opens up the intake and exhaust. You could probably piece together a package with some Thorley headers and exhaust maybe the flows you have cheaper than the Banks kit... It's nice to get all the stuff in one bag before you install it. A supercharger would be sweeeeet. Maybe even a gear splitter for those grades in and out of Loon.
