I would also like to say thank you to all that hellped. Everyone did a great job out there this weekend. Maby next we can see about blocking off the swamp area. From what was talked about today there is a higher road that would be more sutable to take and keep the swamp area from getting any worse.

Next time I will be able to shove more shit onto the roof rack and I will have a seat open.

I could use an extra wrench monkey to change the parts if and when I break them :D

The guy you want to ask for is Mike Elrod. He was in the black scout leading the rest of the scouts. I am sure he knows. If i were to guess (I forget the guys name) It was a younger guy in a Green 800 or The guy in the Green ScoutII . But as I said before, ask Mike.

Hope i could be of help. Good luck.

you can see me sittin on the log watchin the XJ, I was riding with Dan H most of the time in his 2001 TJ, and was riding with jiMMy in the pic of the cruiser in this thread at the time the Scouts were behind us. We were a pretty big group - red 4 runner, Rollie in the exo'd toy, another black yota, white yota, that bad ass Ranger, etc..

I am bad with names too, there is a reason I go by "Brandon" on the boards ;)

he he I run 35's, so I got some work to do for 39.5's but I'm game ;)

Thanks for the Pics Dan H. Scout Dude, Rockslut and I finally made it out. I didn't get the name of the guy that welded my drag link back together, but it was one hell of a job and greatly appreciated. I also wanted to thank Monkeyboy for the loan of the chain when we tried to rig my steering back together.

David,

Good to see you got al the way home OK.

Let me know what you do for your steering.

My steering is pretty much the same as yours and If yours snapped I can see the possibility of mine doing the same.

Todd

Well, after talking to Dave, we concluded that his Toe on the TJ starting changing once he put the locker in the front...seems that it put too much stress on the stock steering...since you don't ANY locker at all, you should be fine!:flipoff2:

Hopefully I can get the locker in some time this week.

Keep an eye on your alignment. If your toe starts getting off your drag link might be bending. Since I installed my ox my toe has been off by an inch following each of the last two trips I have been on.

The way I drive with open diffs my steering is constantly changing.

I Think I managed to bend things in a way that actually helped reduce my deathwobble this time.
Or was it when I changed a rod end before I hit the pavement on the way home :D

Rocksluts, rig was working awsome, when I was driving in with them!
It doesnt surprise me, that it walked soup bowl.

I was spotting for Dan, when he made his run at it,....I told him afterwards that I have never had the oppurtunity to roll a TJ before,...well, I came pretty close.

Maybe next time Dan,..(we will roll it or climb it). :D

Great weekend
