My 89 bronco 2, i have had it since i was 12 i'm now 15 and still working on it. Anyway, when i got it my dad told me I was going to have to do 50% of the work and pay 50% of parts. Since that agreement I have rebuilt the engine and transmission. I have upgraded front and rear ends with a locked d35 and a locked 8.8 rearend, I also pulled the stock a4ld and electric bw1354 trans and transfercase for a stronger c5 trans and manual bw1350 transfercase. I also added a 2 inch body lift, a 4 inch lift kit, and some 33's. Then I swaped the bronco body for a ranger cab and I will in the soon future chop the bed to fit the frame. Well thanks for looking Brandon.

Then I added the explorer springs and the locked d35

After that I put on the 2 inch body lift and some 31's

I then decided to put a ranger cab on the bronco's frame.

My reasoning behind this was mainly because of rust, the bronco had alot of rust and the body was starting to crack in the seams. I finished paintin the frame, painted the bed and thats about it. Also I just built the bed with stuff that was lying around the house. I will probly lose internet for a week so I will post up some pics next week. Well thanks for looking.

i got rockwells for my 16 birthday and hummer rims for the 17 had to buy my 42's and everything else. My dad doesn't know much about building trucks or crawlin. I learned 90% of th good stuff from pbb. I'm about 60% of the way through build my 77 f250.

Nice job man!

wtr40rock: Mind emailing/pming me some pics of your build? I am gathering parts and starting a new build this spring. Something along the lines of a '78 F150, built 460, rocks and 54's.

Thanks.

Damn good start. I wish i had the opportunity to do something like that when i was 15.

I agree with NET on the bed. I personally dont think it would be worht the time but, If you wanted the look of a bed i would say use it and make some removable skins for the flat bed.

batman45
04-07-2008, 09:57 PM
i like your build alot, i had wanted to do something like this if i ever required a b2. Have you thought about takeing the longer side of the bed skin and rolling it to blend with the shorter side? yeah it wont match the front of the box but at least you can have it blend properly in the back, and if you decide to make a custom bumper you can make a slider to go underneath to compensate for the loss

chrono4
04-07-2008, 10:31 PM
I'd say just hack it off back there, blend it with the wheelwell.

Branman

I'm going to make one horizontal cut on the front half of the cut, then bend it back and make it fit. I am going to put a roll bar in the bed, but i also want to be able to take the bed off and make a rear tube bed and exo around the cab that will unbolt.

Well I finished my bumper I forgot to update this page but here it is. I welded my Brackets on the bumper and cut my holes. I got my tage up there, all I have to do is grind and paint a little bit. I also bent my first piece of tubing last night and all i have to say about tubing is tube bending is tuff. Well here are my pics

Great looking truck! Your shortened bed was nice too--maybe a keeper for your other BII? This one looks great as-is. Another possiblity might be cut-down fiberglass skins for the bed?

Thanks guys. I am still going to work on my shortened bed. 6 bolts and 4 big guys and this comes off. After this trip to mountain side, I am going to finish and paint my truck. Thanks Brandon B.

More on the bed. I am using herculiner on the back and so far I like it. I am getting really close for primer and paint. Here is a pic, I forgot to put the brace on so I had to redue it.

Edit: Wow that picture turned out horrible, I will try and get another.
Thanks Brandon B.
