Hey all,

So I am looking at getting a parts washer. More than likely from harborfreight...:shaking: (not feeling the desire to fab something like this)

I was looking at this one for $69:

and this one at $164:

It seems to me that everyone gets the cheaper one and modifies it with a 5 gallon bucket underneath to keep the surface area of the solvent to a minimum and/or add a filter.
Isn't this essentially what the more expensive one does? Anyone have the $164 one?

Just wondering....:)

I think you have your pictures reversed. Get the bigger one for several reasons...filtration, bigger, holds more fluid, holds bigger parts, more stable, portable if you put casters on it..

I've got one like to larger one made by another mfg and it's great.

I have used the top one pictured in a buddies garage before and it sucked. Mostly because I was trying to clean a small block chevy intake manifold and it barely fit and I had to keep moving it around in strange positions to clean it well.

I say go with a bigger sink and tank for ease...
