you know, to have us help you, you need to help us.

if you want to know what kind of fluid, you could probably climb under the truck, and scrape the crap off the little plate on the transfer case.... and then, armed with the MODEL # on that plate, you could go to www.google.com , and type in
"NP246C Fluid requirement" and by god.. I bet you would get a thread from Pirate that tells you just what to use.

how easy would that have been to do?

dont tell me its pulling teeth.

that doesnt really sound like an emergency . you could also have went to autozone.com and then selected your vehicle from a list then clicked specifcations it would tell you what kind of fluid and how much of it .

sorry guys, it was all a big f*ck up.... you see, i am not that sure how t/c work and all, but i knew i had a problem with my u joint, so i took it off because it was making a high pitch noise, squeaking loud. so, here comes my "great" idea, and by that i mean stupid, i decided to put my truck on drive to see if it wasn't my t/c or trans. now that both shafts were off, and guess what? when i looked under, i see nothing but red juice every where.... i said oh shit.... and turned the truck off.... yes yes i know, what was i thinking, well simply put, i didn't know it was going to do that. it was late and the autoparts store was about to close so instead of waisting time on a search, i asked ya'll for some help, but apperantly, its a crime to ask something here, i was really just freaking out cause i had to be at work and store was about to close. so c'mon guys cut me some slack here, i am new at this 4x4 stuff, and if i cant make a mistake here and there and learn from it, i might as well quit.........

Pirate 4x4 helps those that help themselves.
Spend $16 on a Haynes manual for your truck, it has all the newbie, entry level stuff, like what lube to use, how to do a tune up, etc.

Come back when you're ready for the SAS.

Hint: read FAQ and try the search button...you'll be surprised what you learn along the way.

"i asked ya'll for some help, but apperantly, its a crime to ask something here"
WhatsStuckK5 answered your question in six minutes what is the problem?

"i see nothing but red juice every where"
Go to parts store and ask for more red juice. Problem fixed.

"found out i need some blue crap from the dealer, some autotrac II"

Why did your t-case have red juice in it if you need blue crap from the dealer?
you need to take Grumpys advise and post the model # off the t-case.

So far you have had six people try to help you with a question that could have been solved with a quick search.
"so instead of waisting time on a search, i asked ya'll for some help"
You do not have time to search yet we have lots of time to help you?

All of this is a side effect of your real problem "it was making a high pitch noise, squeaking loud"

If you are humble and are careful with your responses some one may help you.

jesus.

and how are YOU gonna learn anything?

ever look at the NEWBIE forum?

thats where newbies can ask questions without fear of flaming. I dont see the word Newbie on top of this forum. oh, except where it says "newbies, read this before posting", which you failed to do.

Good luck with your truck.

read. learn. buy some books. read the books. learn.

Not only did I help you, I also listed the "juice / crap" requirements for all the other Chevy T-cases that I could think of FOR THE PEOPLE THAT SEARCH before asking a stupid question.

I carry a small shovel with me among all my tools and spare parts when off road.

Many times I have come across someone that is stuck in the mud, sand, or whatever. When I get out that little shovel I get one of two reactions.

The first is "I am so glad you took the time to stop and help. I was completely unprepared for this, can I use your shovel to dig myself out?" I will say forget the little shovel I will just pull you out. We laugh about the little shovel and I have a new friend.

The second is "good you can dig me out." I have actually had people get back in their vehicle to sit down. These people I will either watch dig themselves out with my ridiculously small shovel and laugh to my self the whole time or just leave them there if it is not an emergency situation or remote location.

Please do not help any newb's you are unqualified.

I'm lost. How did removing the driveshafts lead to 'red juice' distribution? There exists a possibility that adding fluid won't make everything copasetic.
