Well....I order the 37's on 8 lug wheels assuming that the backspacing will be the same as the 8 lug wheels I have since they are the same brand and all.....WELL.....I go to pick the wheels and tires up at the freight terminal...the guy pulls the shrink wrap off the skid and there are these great looking wheels and tires.....then I get to looking at the backspacing...

So I take the tires home and put them on the Scout....first off the 37's are a true 36" tall on a SII....a ton taller than the 35's I was running......well I get wheels mounted on the SII...from the side view they look great...just the size I was needing.....from the front and rear.....:barf: I can see the brakes....looks like crap...

SO......I know I should have asked...but remember backspacing counts........

Caveat Empator....guess I will see what the 4wp's customer service can do.

Before you call, figure out what you have. Then call them up, and before you launch in to them, play dumb and ask (like you were about to buy them) what the back spacing is/should be.... if they give you a different answer, THEN launch into them about them shipping you the wrong sh*t!!


I *think* normal backspacing ("stock/unspecified") is 3.5-4", usually 4". Seems most people have had good luck with 3/4T brakes and 3" BS.

I called Summit...where I got the first set of 8 lug white spoke wheels and they said the bs is 4.25" ont he wheels I had......4whp's set me a set with 2" or so......looks like CRAP.....

I'm going to call 4wps' in a minute....we'll see how it goes..

Summit Racing has a 15 x 10 chrome steel wheel in eight lug....part # 5080

At least you did not have to Freak-out on them...those guys do leave a lot to be desired.
