: If you like pristine, uncut FJ45s, then don't look at this

because this one is bastardized! This is my buddies 45, It's a different approach. I haven't seen too many highly modified 45's. The frame has been removed from the rear, and replaced with tubing. The suspension is a custom 1/4 ellip setup. It's not done, but the rear cage and suspension are complete.
....It's enough to make the "purists" cry.....Bwahhahaha...I love it!:D

The bed is in very good cond, it just wasn't part of the future plans for the truck. I think you may have been in contact with him about the bed. It's in Idaho. The bed is available,
Here is a pic of the bed after it was removed a couple of months ago.

Is the guy named Trenton? I emailed and PM'ed him but no response... I would really like to find a bed one of these days...

Could you chat with him and ask about its availibility? Is the bed intact still? Or are the sides on the second pic just copies of the shape?

Thanks,
-Brett

My bad:emb: I thought the panels on the rig were from the original bed. Now I see the body lines are different as well:emb:

I think you are talkin' about a guy I know here in Idaho named Trenton. He recently took of this bed and tubed the rear and did a 1/4 elliptical. He is hard to get a hold of. I see him once in a while at club meetings. His bed was in rough shape though. Not too rusty but the floor was pretty dented.

Yes, that's him..I told him that you have interest in it, and that he needs to check his mail. The panels that are on there now are rolled sheet metal to mimic a small amount of body. The original bed is available and complete. I will let the two of you discuss the details on that. ;)

He disappeared off the face of the earth and the 45 did too. I haven't seen or heard anything about or of him in years.

Holy crap, this IS an old post! As for Trent, he was living in Lehi, but has been MIA as of late…not sure where he disappeared to…the 45 was purchased by a dude in the SLC area, I know his brother, and supposedly it is in good hands and will soon begin the start of its new life.

Trent’s wife did allot of the painting…The trick is to lay down a background color and then spray over the actual pine needles and limbs as they are placed against the panel...turns out cool when done right.
