Had a chance to ride one the other day for a while. I've spent quite a bit of time on a 400ex, a DS650, Scrambler 500, and a 250r plus various other quads.

I'm pretty impressed w/it. Very predictable handling whether power sliding across grass ( only got to ride in a mowed field ), opening it up out of a corner or lifting the front end hitting 3rd gear w/an open throttle. I'm 6'3" and was pretty comfortable on it, though no sport quad is really built for a big person ( 'cept maybe a DS650 ). I thought the power was pretty good, very comparible to the DS and plenty more than an EX.

I was really happy with it and the price is the same as an EX. If you ask me anyone getting the EX over the Z400 is :rainbow: The Suzuki is much more bike than the Honda.

From what I understand Kawasaki worked closely w/Suzuki on this quad and will be selling a rebadged version of it shortly after the Z400 hits the market ( it already has but I haven't heard anything about a Kawi yet ).

Just thought I would see what every body else thought of it. Keep in mind this isn't a 250r but the 4 strokes are definatly getting stronger.

We went riding this weekend and had a 400EX, the Z400, a Warrior and a Raptor along. The guy with the warrior was a little disapointed in his ride after being on the other two, and especially like the Z400. The guy that had the 400EX like the Z400 and the girl with the Z400 liked the 400EX better. Go figure!

I didn't actually ride the Z400, (It's hard to get off my CR and on to a quad  ) but the others all seemed to like the Z400. They said it was taller than the 400EX, but had a more predictable feel to it. I also understand they are coming out with a Yosh pipe for it (might already be out) that is really supposed to wake it up more.

Yes Yosh. has came out with a pipe for it along with everyone else in the high performance market. Yosh also has a 450 kit for it that you can purchase thru the Suzuki dealer if you want. But from what I have herd and read about, the LRD pipe is supposed to be one of the best 4 stroke pipes out on the market for the quad applications.
