Had a chance to ride one the other day for a while. I've spent quite a bit of time on a 400ex, a DS650, Scrambler 500, and a 250r plus various other quads.
I'm pretty impressed w/it. Very predictable handling whether power sliding across grass ( only got to ride in a mowed field ), opening it up out of a corner or lifting the front end hitting 3rd gear w/an open throttle. I'm 6'3" and was pretty comfortable on it, though no sport quad is really built for a big person ( 'cept maybe a DS650 ). I thought the power was pretty good, very comparible to the DS and plenty more than an EX.
I was really happy with it and the price is the same as an EX. If you ask me anyone getting the EX over the Z400 is :rainbow: The Suzuki is much more bike than the Honda.
From what I understand Kawasaki worked closely w/Suzuki on this quad and will be selling a rebadged version of it shortly after the Z400 hits the market ( it already has but I haven't heard anything about a Kawi yet ).
Just thought I would see what every body else thought of it. Keep in mind this isn't a 250r but the 4 strokes are definatly getting stronger.
