OD of AMC Jeep 360 pilot bushing [Archive]

Can anyone enlighten me as to what the OD of an AMC Jeep 360 pilot bushing is?

I am looking for a 73+ AMC/Jeep 360 with a 4bbl, P/S, and AC to swap into my YJ and I need to find out what pilot to use. I have an AX-15 tranny which has an input shaft OD of .75".

I found some pilot bushings at NAPA that are .753" ID and 1.055" OD. I need to find out if one of these will fit the 360. I just don't have the 360 yet and I don't know if all 360's have the same OD pilot.

I did a search and found that this same question was posed and nobody came up with an answer.

I'm betting you will need to have one made the stock trannys are smaller than that on the pilot brg. surface.
