Ok guys i have a 95 jeep Cherokee with a 4.0 H.0 the trans then i bought another trans from a 91 or a 90 Cherokee they are both AX15 transmissions now on the 90 or 91 trans the end of the input shaft is a lightal bit longer(By about 1/2in) and a lightal bit skinner that the only difrance now i was wondering if the bore in the crank where the piolet bushing is the same and just the inner whole is smaller and if so if i could cut a lightal bit off the end and put in the 90 or 91 piolet bushing in to my 95 HO or if i have to get one custom made if some one could point me in the right direction

could the difference in length be from the input bearing retainer?

i do not know about cherokees but on the wrangler you are playing around on the years that are either side of the internal and external slave cylinder...

if this is useless info, sorry
