: hub conversion for a full time 44 dodge 3/4

how ig a deal is it to convert a military dodge front 44 to locking hubs. it is out of a 78 dodge 3/4 ton. any info would be helpful thanks mike

If it's like a GM version no problem. pop the cap. remoce the axle c-clip. Remove the hub c-clip. install the locking hub per the instruction it comes with.

its not like that. it has the drive flange with a big nut and a cotter key. mike

Hmmm I know for the old style GM versions a hub is available but never messed with one. Worse case you can swap the spindles out and convert it to the internal hub design without much problem. Lots of GM folks have done that to get rid of the old external version hubs. Might involve swapping out the shaft ends also. My guess with that cotterpin that the shaft is longer and wouldn't work with the internal style hubs.
