I am looking to purchase shop tools. I am looking at a CNC plasma cutter for tabs, beadlocks, etc. I am also looking to make rod ends.
Let me know with your suggestions and price ranges (That are reasonable prices!)

You are looking for shop tools, didn't give specifics of said shop nor what 'reasonable' is.

For some people reasonable would be 15k for other people it would be 100k and for some it could be as little as 1k.

You are gonna need to give more info.

Well I can't afford the 100k, but i was looking around 20k or less. Something that I can draw items on a computer and be able to cut out by itself. I do plan to do mass production, open a fab shop in the future, and eventully up grade.

My main goal is to cut out differnt patterns of parts (tabs, beadlocks, ect)
Also I wanted to know about differnt types of mills that would be able to shape differnt rod ends.
Thanks for the info and help.

look for a plasma the has a little computer that reads black lines (as in sharpy). we have one in my ROC shop and its awsome. perfect for shock tabs, light tabs, etc. all you have to do is draw what you want in sharpy and it fallows the line.

Would recommend checking out the Torchmate website, what you are looking for is exactly what the company does.

you hope his business fails for giving you advice, wft:confused:
i think he gave you some information you may want to look into. i know they are called optical tracers and pattern cutters but think they also go by another name that i can't remember right now. they are very simple to use and you don't need any fancy cad/cam programs. as long as you can draw it on paper, you can cut it.

masproducing rod ends is going to take more than you basic 3 axis mill. you are probably going to need a full on machining center. if you are that far along with machining, you will know what you need to make them. i think that alone is going to be beyond your $20k even used.

seriously dude. didnt know you were gonna get all pissy. i was just telling you what you should look into if you not schooled in cad and shit like that. and ROC is a school, not a bussiness so nice try. so i hope you find what you need.

You're a clueless fucktard. Do you know anything about cad/cam/nesting? Do you know anything about making rodends? Apparently not...

:edit: And judging by your other posts, it looks like you have no fabrication experience at all. How are you going to justify 20k on a cnc plas table?

Honestly if you have to ask maybe you shouldnt pursue this as a business :shaking:

Because if your machineing parts with no knowledge of what you need letalone how to do it im very worried

and dont get me wrong. i love this site. ive learned so much on here but there are some real dicks on here that make people first starting out not even want to try thier hands at fabrication. so i hope people like braxton and mud humper dont do this very often.

lighten up, they weren't talking to you, they were yelling at the guy you tried to help.

another thing to keep in mind is there are already a lot of companies doing this that have a lot of experience/equipment that you'd need to compete with.
