Rat70FJ 01-14-2008, 07:34 PM I was thinking about it but thought they were too clean for it. I haven't really figured out a purpose for them but they're clean. Ya gotta like the stock axles with a blown V-8:nuke::crybaby2:

They didn't leave room for the kegerator :shaking:
65SWB45 01-14-2008, 09:39 PM Wow! Now I know where all those parts went!
The builder came by the shop last spring and bought the hardtop side panels, upper door sections, tailgate hatch hinges etc from me and explained what he was building.
A few of the features I remember him mentioning were: shaving the sides of the windshield frame in closer to the doors to cut down on wind noise! Using the recessed hinges from the upper hatch on the lower gate so that he could have the entire gate swing down clear of the track assembly for the bbq, and having some kind of connection so that the TV would drop as the hatch was lifted. Said there was no problem with leaving the satellite dish tucked under the fiberglass of the hardtop.
He fitted the doors with power windows and door locks. He left me a couple of GM power lock assemblies that I have yet to fiddle with. They are supposed to be slim enough to be early-door compatible.

worknplay 01-16-2008, 12:03 PM Saw the top part of it sticking out last night on the show as they were panning around. Didn't realize what was under the hardtop. Is that called "urban-retro"? Total chick magnet;)
fj40guy 01-16-2008, 12:36 PM Where to begin on that one.....
Hey, Mark, is the kid marching again this year? Alex opted out. :(
cardinal fang 01-16-2008, 09:04 PM Of course, the bezel is upside down. :p
LukeZero 01-17-2008, 05:50 AM Of course, the bezel is upside down. :p
Hah! I totally missed that. There was so much else going on there- I missed the obvious.
Rat70FJ 01-17-2008, 04:31 PM Well the blown one is # 711. # 693 was just gaveled at 4:20, so we should see a cruiser live within the hour. Speedvision, started at 4 pm pst.
Rat70FJ 01-17-2008, 05:48 PM $47,000.
Gee Bob, that's some big rolling stock down there. Yes those are 39 and a half inch Super Swampers.
That's so clean underneath you wouldn't want to take it of road!
Funny chatter from the anouncers, they neglected to mention there was no air filter on the blower scoop, that would keep me from offroading more than the cleanliness!
peiserg 01-26-2008, 05:19 PM Other than the wheels, I like the blue one. the red one is too over the top for me.
I actually really do like that slide out bbq. i was tailgating for a football game and was jealously eyeballing some dude with a really nice bbq that he had attached to his bumper. I had a crap ass miniature propane hot plate.
Rat70FJ 01-26-2008, 05:48 PM The blue one was pretty nice, sold for $40K
