: F-toy seats
Lord Orange 01-15-2008, 04:30 PM What brand of seats are you running. I am looking for those comfortable suspension seats, with alot of room, maybe even recline. Give me some pictures and some info from the other f-toy owners. I am a big boy so no small seats. I only need 2 seats.

I have Corbeau now but I'd buy PRPs next time.
MT4Runner 01-15-2008, 04:39 PM I have PRP, but have since become friends with the owner of MasterCraft and the EMPI's look like a great value.
Wider seats will be tough to fit in your FToy.
I wouldn't run plastic!!!

We will see. I have a little more room due to how I will mount the chassis to the rock sliders.
My budget is right around 550$ for 2 seats with sliders.
Do you have reclining seats??
SanDiegoCJ 01-15-2008, 04:55 PM We bought 2 Mastercraft Rubicon seats.

Did you buy them off the showroom floor? Have you been to MasterCraft's facility? The seats in the showroom and being able to sit in all of them is bad ass!!!

kartek has a few different varieties in at the store to sit in. that place is awesome.
ftoy507 01-15-2008, 05:45 PM Call PRP they will ask a few questions and help you make a decision. I think it was based on waist size.
I did buy the larger seats for a 38-42 waist for the drivers side. They are super comfortable. Problem is they are smashed into the B pillar. I will get the next size down next time. I fit very snug in the next size down. It would not be a problem.

Just looking for an idea. Can you snap some pictures of your interior with those seats in there??
OlMan 01-15-2008, 07:02 PM I have PRP seats in my FToy and Mastercraft Rubicons in my CJ. Both seats are very comfortable. I would give the comfort edge to the Mastercrafts.
ToolBox Guy 01-15-2008, 07:08 PM I just become a PRP dealer and my main focus is to give F-Toy owners smokin' deals on seats. PRP has long been a sponsor for the F-Toy class so I felt it only right to try to encourage new builders and current owners to give their products serious consideration. PM me your zip and I'll give you a quote on whatever you might be interested in. Thanks.
benttoy 01-15-2008, 07:20 PM once you park your ass in a PRP seat theres no going back. They have a lot of options and will work with you on what best fits your needs

Thanks for your input but I was looking at PRP website for a seat I didn't see one that I like. The price on the website is for one seat 399.99$, and it doesn't come with any hardware. A bit pricey in my eyes, for one, and to boot you don't have Orange.:D My zip is 94585. I was looing at competition pro series with the black 50 tweed.
I'd rather not PM, if your a PRP dealer, want to sell something lets get you some advertisement in the f-toy forum (more traffic), and lets see you sell it.
I don't expect a freebie, I just wonder why nobody is pimping your product that you deal.
SanDiegoCJ 01-15-2008, 07:49 PM Gary what is your stats??? Sounds weird asking another guy for his dimiensions? Maybe I should ask you what size pants and shoes you wear??? LOL
I'm 6'3" tall with a 36" inseam. Both my wife and I sat in them and the top of our
head is 39" above the bottom of the seat.

what size is your shoes??? Are they big?:D
SanDiegoCJ 01-15-2008, 07:53 PM Did you buy them off the showroom floor? Have you been to MasterCraft's facility? The seats in the showroom and being able to sit in all of them is bad ass!!!
No, we haven't been to Mastercraft, but they're only about 2 miles from our house.
Our son-in-law has those seats in his YJ and I sat in them to see how they felt.
Sharon and I both like the feel and the fact that they don't wrap around real
tight at the shoulders. We did sit in a number of seats at the Off Road Expo
at Pomona last Oct. and the Mastercraft Rubicon's were what we liked the most.
BTW, we got a deal on them through ORW for $300 ea.
SanDiegoCJ 01-15-2008, 07:54 PM what size is your shoes??? Are they big?:D
10 1/2's. :flipoff2:
Lord Orange 01-15-2008, 07:55 PM We are close in size. I am 6'4 and 36 inseam. So that mastercraft looks good, but they are very pricey.
first off, PRP is the official seat for formula toys. they have been on since day 1.
call aaron at prp and tell him you are an ftoy and tell him what you want.
if you want to fit in the biggest seat possible, they will send you a frame that you can cut up and weld together, then send it back and they will cover it for you.
they only do this for the ftoy crowd because we are cool and seat room is tight.

Well pimping is for the vendors section, so I am trying to stay within the rules of PBB. I will be putting up some info in here shortly to direct you to the vendors forum. I will get you some prices, I think I can save you some money.
