I am looking for a factory PTO winch for my 40. I have the box for the x-case, I need the winch head and the shaft. Any help would be great........

Red, I saw one on a 40 that is for sale near my work. I will try to see of the seller is willing to pull the winch. (and what kind of shap it is in) When I saw it I thought about AOL killing your final bid on mine!

FYI: When I finaly got the sucker crated it weighed in at 170 LBS just for the winch head and small drive shaft! OUCH! No wonder I always limped about after moving that sucker.:p

I will let you know what I find.

I just shipped an SM465 to Utah from Texas on Forward Air.

The package weighed in at 180# and it cost $53 with insurance!

Forward Air, eh? I will have to see if they are around in my parts. Thats a great price! I had to crack the 170 lbs crate open and start unbolting parts to get it under 150 lbs so UPS would ship it. The funny thing was I only had to pull 2 or 3 pices off the winch head to loose 20lbs! It cost the buyer $89.00 with insurance to ship to San Diego from Portland OR. Road Way trucking wanted $250!:eek:

try posting on the "cool cruisers" site as well. I think I remember seeing some floating around in the past.

Nope just talking over the phone he wont pull it. The dude thinks it alone will sell his over priced rig. He also has never used it since owning the truck. (he said this a few minutes latter after saying "the winch works great!" hmmm ya right.:mad3: )

i've got a complete setup off my '66. the only way i'll sell it is a a complete unit. t-case pto box, shaft, winch, mounts and linkage.
and on top of that i am so short on time these days that i'd really appreciate it if you could arrange the shipping, forward air is cool with me. i can definetly crate the stuff up for you.
