also buy the adjustable ball mount
for clutch arm from sumit.

ps the brake master is a bolt on and the corvet
slave uses the same metric hose as the toy

Could you give me some information on year of corvette slave cylinder and hilux brake cylinder? Thanks in advance.

Are you saying use the brake master for the clutch master?

Why?

I would assume he used it as a cheaper replacement. Or perhaps the capacity fits the corvette slave. I just asking for clarifcation.

Strange...

On the toyota brake master cylinder there is usually a "restrictor valve" that basically restricts the flow coming back into the master cylinder. Handy item as it allows you to "pump up" the brake pedal.

On a clutch master cylinder you do not have that type of valve in it, so you get full fluid flow going out of, and coming back to, the clutch master cylinder.

NOTE: Earlier systems required an adjustment at the slave cylinder to adjust for clutch wear. Later clutch hydraulics did retain some pressure to allow for "self adjusting" clutch systems.
I'm thinking that ALL Landcruisers (up to '87) had adjustments at the slave cylinder.

Is the 'vett slave cylinder one of the "self adjusting" type... which may require the brake master cylinder???
