Wife and I went to Vegas last weekend with some friends. We kicked around the idea of maybe going to a shooting range and trying some cool guns you can't shoot in cali. So maybe turned into spending several hundred dollars on ammo for all the fun toys you can rent.

as if Vegas didn't have enough ways to make yourself poor...we had to discover this one.

Sorry...no tech or any cool pix, just a couple vids thought you guys might like.

I can't watch the vids at work. Are you commenting on M249s in general, the ones at these rent-a-gun places, or something specific in the vid?

I too < automatic gunfire.
We all < automatic gunfire.
Only thing > automatic gunfire is large amount of c4, detcord, and ignitors.
Explosions > automatic gunfire.
Nothing => explosions.

I got to shoot a full auto MAC-10 (.45) at work, with a scilencer. Man that sucker was fun.

It was a jab...Although, aren't 249 prone to jamming....dirty or not?

MK19 40mm grenade launcher with HE rounds = automatic weapon + explosions

LOL..actually, I was the first one to shoot the M249 and it jammed after the first three second burst. But it lasted the whole six belts after that with no problems.

The M16 (no video of that one) jammed two or three times.

That's what my buddy was saying too

Next logical step is either going out in the desert and blowing sh*t up or playing with a mini gun. :D

You might look into tannerite. It's a cheap, legal way to blow shit up.

Because the range masters assume that nobody renting the full autos has ever shot one. (in our case that was true) People were letting the recoil raise the barrel of the gun while continuing to shoot. The range masters don't want people to shoot their lines down, the ones that move the target back and forth.

So they turn the targets upside down and tell you to shoot at the head, and release the trigger when you get to chest high. Once they determined that we could control the gun, they let us aim anywhere on the target.

Matter of fact, there was a dude next to me that was shaking like a leaf. Not sure if he's never shot a gun before but you could tell he was nevervous. He shot down the lines on his lane.

Better buy it now... With that dipshit who blew up the dump truck, I'm sure they'll be banning tannerite in the near future :(:(:(

Not with live ammo. As long as you are feeding from a belt in the drum and not trying to play john rambo with the belts all wrapped around you.
