Depends on budget. For my cherokee (which I intend to dive into this weekend), I am running the dana 30 front (already has the larger u-joint) and a ford 8.8 rear (a very cheap and easy swap). If I start busting front shafts, I will probably upgrade to a set of alloys. If you want to run something that is indestructible, there is no such critter (at least not in stock form). IMHO, run it, break it, upgrade it, repeat.

Mr. N has great info, I junkyard hunt with it. Flat top waggy 44's are great 76-77.

Those Dana 44 fronts usually run Spicer axle shafts.

Once again you can't describe your meaning with words. :shaking:

If you've a question about a Dana 44, you'll be hard press to find someone more knowledgeable than I. The trick with me is getting me motivated to talk details...
However I'm done helping you.
