SJscouter 01-30-2008, 10:03 PM are you running stock scout springs in the front?
No, there from a 1970 3/4 chevy truck. there rears. i think there about 50" long. I like them there tough springs, and pretty flexy too. Cant beat free:grinpimp:
oh and thanks Mike.
Are you going to build a replacement dash? Looks good so far.
Need to get my @ss in overdrive and be ready for some good times in March @ Hollister Hills:smokin:

Ya ill probably do something to cover the ugly crap that hold the peddles and wheel in place. ill make a small hoop out of 1" tube to house all my gauges.
ill be mounting my Amp. up high on the firewall on the passenger side. I was amazed how much bigger the truck felt with the full dash out. Ill also be blocking off the drains on the sides under the cowl and turning it into storage boxes cause i hate having stuff rolling around. It will be a good place for small stuff that was in my glove box.
SJscouter 02-08-2008, 11:43 PM Did alittle work on the truck today, My plans have changed a bit. The 115" stretch will be delayed a few monthes, No job = no money for toys. Ill be redrilling my rear springs a few inches and shortening the shackles to lower the truck a bit. When i built the front end i double drilled the back spring mount, it was on the back one. today i slid it forward for an about 1 1/2 inches. ill be eventually re-drilling the front springs to get another 2 inches.
So as of now ill be about 110 with both ends re-drilled.
ill post some pics tomorrow of the progress.:smokin:

I pulled the overload out of the 63" chevys and chopped down my shackles ended up droping the back about 2" and the front droped about an inch with the stretch. Now it sets at about 107" in the next few months ill try to end up at 115" flexed it out on a parts scout, flexed good, seems like it rides nicer because of the new shackle angles.

slipscomb 03-01-2008, 02:00 PM I like the cage. I thought about going with the "eyebrow" efect on the front of mine but ended up making it straight across. I did however, put a little "eyebrow" effect into the metal roof pan. I would like to see more tubework under the hood ifn you got pics.:smokin:

MochaMike 03-01-2008, 02:05 PM Hey Kevin,
Can you email me or post a pic of the rear Halo portion from above?
Standing on the rear bumper looking down on it would be good.
My buddy with a bender is going to help me do the same thing, & I want to show him a picture of something similar.
Are you going to leave the center of the halo portion open or do some connectors...
I was thinking of doing two C bent pieces that back to back making an X.
