I am going to have to buy a new grill b/c mine broke.........multiple times
I am brewing on some sweet ideas to build a bumper under the grill down to the winch mount
John92YJ 09-15-2009, 11:50 AM nice work on everything, hope to see it out of the garage soon
mattcarlson 09-17-2009, 04:05 AM ya im so inspried now!!!! i love the link set up!!!! you should have plated both sides of your tube front section!!! i so need to start hacking my 1st gen 4 door blaze!!! and im deffintaly takin alot of notes from your build!!! keep up the work!!!!! maybe next year this time i will see ya on the trails somewhere!!! for your side windows you should find some decent clear polycarbon for the side windows!!! that stuff is so hard to bust!!!! and you can use a hair dryer to form them to desired shape!! just a idea.
1TONZR2 09-17-2009, 04:23 AM nice!!get that thing outta the garage!!its been clean too long!! lol!!
oober 09-17-2009, 08:23 PM Thanks guys, it has been too long. I am gettin pretty antsy about it!
Got quite a bit done tonight
Some pics of the progress:

Now I have to devise a clamping mechanism and attach all the fans/coolers then hook up and bleed fluids and she can get driven around the block!!
The Ol' Lady and I are taking a 3 day trip this weekend.....just away from everything by ourselves (will be very relaxing). So I won't get any progress this weekend, but I should be revived to get the blaze wheelable for next weekend. Gotta keep chippin away!
COPPERHEAD42 09-18-2009, 05:20 PM You going to make it down to krock for the halloween run? Would like to meet up with ya down there and see this bad boy in action
oober 09-22-2009, 09:22 PM I might make it to the haloween run, we'll have to see b/c there are 2 weddings in October and that is my only free weekend, so.......maybe ;)
Here is my progress from today. Took a mini-vacation this weekend with the ol' lady to get away and came back refreshed.
Got a lot done

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Front%20Half/P9220363.jpg
Next I need to build some kind of protection for the radiator from the winch that will be below it. Then mount coolers/fans and fill fluids. Then I only have 10 million more things, but at least it will be driveable.
oober 09-24-2009, 07:45 PM Got a bit done tonight, but not a lot of measurable progress
put in a peice of angle iron to protect the radiator from the winch a little bit in case the winch birdcages for some reason.
Then bolted the shocks/limit straps back on and picked up my trailer from my buddy's house so I could work on it some too.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Front%20Half/P9240349.jpg
so.....I have A LOT of stuff to get done tomorrow afternoon so I can leave for Manhattan Sat morning.
Luckily one of my buddies that is going with us is helping me all afternoon.
oober 09-28-2009, 07:59 AM Well, had a fun but very very long weekend
Got home from work on friday at about 5:30 and worked on the blaze untill 4:00AM when we gave up and passed out for about 2 hours and woke up at 6:00AM and went back to work on it. Got all the tubework done, plumbed the radiator, and then realized that I wired the fans up backwards. So we finally got everything done and left the house at about 7:30ish.
We had a very good day of wheeling on saturday, wailed on the blazer all day long and had almost no problems except for the battery died and every time I shut it off we had to jump start it.
On to the pics:

And here is where the wheeling on sunday got....not so good.
I had just gone down this ledge from the top not realizing it was called the "widow maker" and it was very scary in the blazer, Brett in Mikes jeep behind me later told me the back tires came off the ground when we went down. Also the blazer is long and fat with quite a bit of weight over the rear end.
So we got out after we got to the bottom and it looked pretty sketchy with Mikes jeep sitting up there above the ~4ft ledge and we talked about pulling him back up the hill but he ended up going. When he went off the ledge one of the center pins broke on the leaf pack on the front axle then the tire moved back and the bumper plowed the ground......then it was all downhill from there.
Brett was riding with Michael and he grabbed his seat so he could kiss his ass goodbye but I saw mike grab for the roll bar and ended up sticking his arm out of the cage and the jeep rolled over it when it came over. Both had their seatbelts on but Mike ended up with a compound fracture in his right arm to his radius bone, so he broke one of the two bones in his forearm. We hauled ass to go meet EMS at the fire station in town then I followed the ambulance into Manhattan. He had surgery yesterday and everything went well, they will have to leave the wound open to reduce swelling (compartment syndrome for you doctor folks) for a couple of days then they will go back in to put in some screws and plates.
So everybody use this as a lesson to ALWAYS use your seatbelts and NEVER stick your arms or legs outside of the vehicle if you ever feel like it is going over.
Keep Mike in your thoughts/prayers for a quick recovery.

Thanks to everybody that helped roll the jeep back over and get it back up to the front while we were on our way to the hospital. He had to stay overnight and I haven't talked to him yet today. He was pretty sleepy yesterday when he got out of surgery.
T-bone71 09-28-2009, 04:15 PM I hope your buddy is ok, and get better and back out on trail soon
COPPERHEAD42 09-28-2009, 07:41 PM Sucks reading things like this. Hope he gets better.
mattcarlson 09-29-2009, 12:09 PM i hope your buddy has a fast recovery!!!! and it just goes to show how quick things can go from havin a blast to going OH SHIT!!!! but on the good side the blaze was out!!! how did it handle the trails and rocks??? did it feel alot differnt from the last time you were out in it??? that thing is lookin sick though!!! love the front end now!!!! can the fenders still be bolted on????
aaronhall 10-18-2009, 09:42 AM How is your buddy doing? Hope he is healing well.:) Like the build:smokin:.
oober 11-29-2009, 03:35 PM Well, it's been a while but I finally got some time over T-giving break to work on the blaze a little bit.
Got the fenders partially mounted and a good start on the front bumper. Also bought me a new grill at certifit (knock off's but the whole thing was only 40 bux! the junkyard wanted 150 and ebay was ~50 +shipping)

Still deciding if I want to put a boner bar back on it or not.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Front%20Half/PB290376.jpg
That is as good as the fender/door gap is ever going to get, the hood is as low as I can possibly get it without cutting A LOT of stuff off.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Front%20Half/PB290381.jpg
after trimming the bumper and fenders for tire clearance, I am going to build in headlight/grill mounts then add another support for the fenders off of the bumper.
Highrolleres 11-29-2009, 04:19 PM looks alot beter with a front end on it.now you just have to straghtn out that shet metal
warhammer44 12-24-2009, 09:00 PM Hey Paul this is Grant Hartman, I had the white F150 and I came over that night to pick up a PSU 4x4 sticker and I came over a few weeks later to look at your house...Just been looking around on here and read your thread...I saw it when you were still working on the front 4 link.
Im still going to school here, actually back in september i rolled my truck 3 times and totaled it, so i picked up a 2000 24v CTD, looking to get a crawler in the next few years.
Blazer looks great, its kinda cool I was standing there in your shop mid way through the build, any updates? Hope all is well, take care.
aaronr10 12-25-2009, 07:34 AM Hey, you never answered the question above.
How is your buddies arm doing?
Merry Christmas everybody!
oober 12-28-2009, 08:30 PM I remember you Grant, good luck with school. All I have to say to that is fully enjoy it while you can before you realize real life kinda sucks.
That sucks about rolling your truck, but it sounds like you got a chance to upgrade!
Mike's arm is doing a lot better. I have talked to him a couple of times and he has regained most of his feeling in his fingers and the doctor lifted the weight restriction about a month ago.
Only updates on the blazer is this week I am going to try and cob it together to make it to the hangover crawl this Friday at Tuttle Creek ORV in Randolf, KS. I think I am just going to remove the fenders for the time being and trim the bumper just so it is driveable and I can go beat the crap out of it :D
If I get frisky I am also planning on temporary installing a heater for the run on the 1st
I really haven't worked on it in the last month or so, not a whole lot of motivation goin on, and too many family events.
oober 01-04-2010, 07:38 PM Got a couple of things done this week
Some more support on the bumper

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Front%20Half/P1040015.jpg
The grill and headlights are just kinda chillin in there, I am going to try to build mounts for the fronts of the fenders, headlights, and grill this week.
Also I am going to have to majorly trim the fenders/bumper/blinkers for tire clearance.
Highrolleres 01-04-2010, 07:46 PM its a truck again
nice:smokin:
jimmyjimmyjoe 01-07-2010, 04:27 PM cool!
This is one hell of a build! Great job man.
Makes me miss my chevy a hell of alot more
Leyland 01-08-2010, 09:59 AM Nice job on the front end, looks better without the boner bar.
u gonna tie the ends of that bumper back into the frame?
oober 02-18-2010, 09:16 PM I did find some time to work on the blaze lately

Played with the new tig welder some too, Started out a little rough but got better on the second day.
The pilot arc was working fine the other day but after tig welding for a while and switching back to plasma I can't get the pilot arc to strike, guess I have to mess with it some more

Going to try to make it to the frostbite run at Kansas rocks next weekend
Need to:
Trim the bumper/fenders
Tighten up the ballistic joints on my front links
Add another tube to brace the front bumper ends after I trim them
Finish mounting the grill/headlights/fenders
Install heater (probably just going to install overalls on myself and avoid the work)
Work on building a dash
oober 02-28-2010, 08:42 AM Put the tig welder away for a while and got some done over the last couple days
Got the grill completely mounted top and bottom
Mounted the fenders
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Front%20Half/P2230012.jpg
Trimmed the fenders/bumper

It is nice that the sun now goes down after 6 now. I think the real reason I wasn't working on it a lot was b/c it was always dark and depressing out.
Still have a lot to do before this weekend.
Headlights
maybe some more bumper supports
have to reinforce my lower link mount (found a crack)
Tighten up all my ballistic joints
adjust the links some
oober 02-28-2010, 08:45 AM There is only one Dzus fastener at the front of the fender, there are two mounts with bolts at the back
Well, I made it out to the frostbite run this weekend.

Didn't get too many pics, we got there at 8, broke at 10:30 and left at about noon.
oh well, I gotta order some parts and get 'er ready for Big Meats
jkh533 02-28-2010, 11:01 AM Saw ya on the RT ramp down at Frost Bite on Saturday, looked good. I was wondering if you have had any trouble with your stock (or they look to be stock) knuckles and full hydro? I am debating on high steer or not with mine, I know the factory tie rod holes will be less apt to break but I don't want the cylinder down as a battering ram either.
Anxious to see how your dash turns out, take lots of pics.
CrashKnott 02-28-2010, 04:08 PM He plated his knuckles.
1TONZR2 02-28-2010, 04:41 PM 1350 yoke? crazy blaze is looking good bro!
COPPERHEAD42 02-28-2010, 06:42 PM Looked like a good time. Wish I could have made it, Maybe next year

I cracked both of my stock knuckles before I plated them, there should be pics in my thread if you look back in there. Full hydro is the only way to go!
I had to get on the rti ramp in the morning to test my fender trimming. For some reason it rubbed on the drivers side but not the pass side so we had to run back to the truck and sawzall some more.
The yoke was a 1310. It did not break the u-joint though. I think the yoke was already cracked. If you look at the very top of the fracture face the first 1/2" is dark like it had been cracked for a while. She's ganna get somethin bigger here soon so she can get 'er fat ass up the next hill

1410's on both ends and u-bolt style yokes :smokin:
1TONZR2 03-02-2010, 04:42 PM dammit man! oh well, should be happy with the one you get.
American 03-03-2010, 10:22 AM Wow. I fawkin love that thing. I can't believe I never saw your build thread before now! That is my favorite rig on the site, right now. I have been "building" a rig on paper for a long time, trying to plan my big "after college" build. I decided I wanted to start with a 4dr S10 Blazer, the same color as my old Tahoe I had in high school (indigo blue metalic)... Pretty much exactly what you have, is what I'm planning on.
Where in Kansas are you from? I am from Kansas City, and have lived on both sides of the border. Went to KU my freshman year.
90ctd 03-03-2010, 10:17 PM Good work oober... keep breakin' and fixin' that pig, I was expecting to see a ttc pic of you... you holding off on entering?

If I would have known before hand that they were going to separate the buggies and truggies I probably would have entered. I just figured everybody would make me look like a little sissy girl with their blown v8's and 54" tires :girly:

I live in Alabama now, but my mom lives in Leawood. My sister and her family live close to the airport. Maybe next time I visit I'll hit you up and check out that rig. :grinpimp:
oober 03-15-2010, 03:39 PM Well, I missed out on the Big Meats run :(
But I did get a rather sexy big black shaft installed in the back of the blaze :smokin:

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/P3110017.jpg
I got the shaft in time to be ready for big meats, and all was going well until I tried to install the new yokes......
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/P3110018.jpg
wrong oil seals. So I called Jess up at High Angle Driveline and he gave me the number to the transfer case seal for the bigger yokes in an atlas which is a national 472-015.
So after I ordered that I went to install the 14 bolt yoke and turns out the seal was never even touching the yoke  there was a 1/8" gap all the way around, but you couldn't tell b/c there was a dust cover on the back of the stock yoke. So I also had to find a new seal for the 14 bolt which ended up being harder than it sounded. The OD of the yoke was 2.19 and the bore size in the housing was 3.5xxx (IIRC) and after ordering 3 different ones just in case the correct one ended up being National 2286
After I got all of the right seals from o'rielly at about 4:30 Friday night I decided I just didn't have enough gusto to get 'er all back together by myself and drive 4 hours to Disney.
So Sat morning I went to town on it. I don't have a big impact or an air source big enough to support it, so I had to improvise

oober 03-15-2010, 03:52 PM and with the axleshafts pulled I torqued the pinion nut until I had approx 15in lbs of pinion preload (when I tore it apart it has almost none). One click at a time inbetween preload checks, I was tired as hell when I finally got it close.

If anybody needs a driveshaft I highly reccomend you call Jess at High Angle Driveline at (530) 877-2875
Great customer service, always calls back, great product.

ssyork 04-29-2010, 10:03 AM Thanks for posting the National part numbers for the seals, just went to 1410's from HAD, needed the pinion seal too.
007jimmy 05-19-2010, 08:11 AM this thing is rediculous. i didnt know there was a way to make a sas blazer look clean and functional.. i just started tearing apart my 00 gmc jimmy to do something similar.. after reading though this whole thing i think im gonna have to reconsider my plans and scrap the leaf front end.. my plan is to throw a 600 hp LS1 motor in it, t400 trans, atlas and a set of 79 bronco axles at it so if you see a army green jimmy build that looks kinda like yours dont be jelious cause im doing it right the first time around.. i learned from you.. haha

oober 05-21-2010, 05:02 AM Here are some wheeling pics from SMORR in April.

Experimenting with a makeshift limit strap, I really need to get my winch back on that way I can suck the front down and it won't unload as much on hills. What it really needs is an antirock but I just can't bring myself to spend 400$ on a sway bar yet.

We have a contract on our first house and are getting married July 10th, so everything is a little crazy right now.
Here soon though I will have my very own spot in the garage at my very own house, I am stoked!!! :goofball:
ssyork 05-21-2010, 09:32 AM So how was SMORR? I am heading there to hang with family for Memorial day next weekend. Looks like some good runs. This will be my first park experience, we always go on public land out here.
mattcarlson 05-22-2010, 01:15 PM blazer looks good! how's it wheelin? you goign to do any form of skid plate on the front bumper system? also you doing anything overback section? deffintly getting alot of ideas for doing my first gen blazer. hows the tig skills coming?
oober 05-23-2010, 06:12 AM Smorr was pretty sweet, I would definitely go back. They have some steep trails and some trails that were so rediculous I wouldnt even attempt them.
The welding skillz will improve here soon when I get my own garage
Last night was my bachelor party and I only know 3 things right now
1. my underwear will never be the same
2. How did i end up onthe couch and not in bed?
3. I have a headache :grinpimp::barf:
jkh533 05-24-2010, 05:11 AM SMORR is awesome!
Brandon and Mike are great guys to hang out with, the little deli cafe thing they have beets the heck out of messing with packing lunch stuff.
Nicest shower houses you have ever seen!
Hey oober, where are the picks of crazyblaze going up double whamy?
Where is the bed and breakfast at, Seymore?
ssyork 05-24-2010, 08:29 AM Thanks for the replies on smorr. Have heard nothing but good stuff, have just been watching the show me run thread since we are going. But hadn't really ask anybody how it is for trails n such. You guys see a white super duty towing a white blazer with the back cut off like ober's coming thru later this week flip me off or something!:flipoff2:
oober 10-03-2010, 04:51 AM It's been a while since I updated.....
Finally got all my tools and stuff in my new garage and cleaned up to where I can halfway find everything.
Figured out why the blazer had a klunk when I would put it in drive

Next my plan is either to get the winch put back in or to start on a dashboard/heater/radio and some type of winterizing (removeable lexan where the window on the pass side is broken out)
Anybody have any old decks with cd players that they want to get rid of for cheap?
oober 10-06-2010, 08:45 PM It is weird since I have a week off class and no huge papers to write I don't know what to do with myself.
Here is my start on a dashboard. I am going for mostly function and a little form. I don't have time to waste making it pretty.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PA030929.jpg
Built tabs to hold the gauge cluster and a bump in the dashboard.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PA060914.jpg
I think I might just leave the cardboard, it looks pretty fashionable
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PA060918.jpg
This will be the main part of the dash hanging down. There will be an area with switches below it. KISS method.
master kill switch, e-fans, trans control, and heater control
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PA060922.jpg
I will be building another panel that will be about 4" tall to the right of the dash that will hold the temp gauge and cb radio.
oober 10-08-2010, 09:24 PM Progress
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PA080938.jpg
I am trying to keep it simple and functional. Under the dash I am mounting the battery and a heater. On the front of the dash besides the radio and switches will be a temp gauge and cb radio. On top of the dash will be two vents for defrosting and two speakers for when I remove my doors.
Out of welding gas now.....
mattcarlson 10-08-2010, 11:26 PM Your blaze looks so messed up with out a front bumper and winch! But its lookin damn good!
Gimmy 10-10-2010, 10:14 AM this is one of the best builds ive seen. your givin us updates and we can tell its all your work. good job. keep it up
warhammer44 11-10-2010, 05:03 AM updates?
oober 11-24-2010, 05:11 PM Not much of an update, but progress is progress :D
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PB240009.jpg
Got the right side of the dash, and the mount for the heater mostly done. Next I have to make a new mount for the PCM and battery then wire everything.
krazylarry 11-24-2010, 06:52 PM really nice makes me wanna keep cuttin
Sirg2424 12-03-2010, 12:01 AM Oober just stopping by to check out what else u have done, and damn u have the endless project here. Ur rig is looking cool as usual, I get ppl asking me asking what inspired me to build my Blazer the way I did, I just tell them Oober.... Some day I will catch up to u, LOL.
oober 12-03-2010, 09:29 PM Well, I spent about 3 hours cleaning the garage and getting it ready for a weekend of wrenching. My plan was to do something quiet tonight, so I got my multipurpose machine switched over to tig and completely ready to practice for a couple hours until I turned the argon on and discovered this:
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PC030022.jpg
:mad3: Not cool.........
Oh well, I still plan getting the blazer running tomorrow. It has been too long since I have driven it.
I am running out of location options for the battery, not really room in the engine bay after tubing it, doesn't quite fit under the dash, and takes up too much room between the rear seats. Most likely I am just going to ratchet strap it to the floor again until I decide where to put it.
oober 12-05-2010, 04:33 AM Start of the PCM mount
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PC040027.jpg

When I finally called it quits yesterday
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PC040043.jpg
Plasma cutters rock :grinpimp: Makes me think back to the days when I used 4.5" cutoff wheels for EVERYTHING and now I can just cut any shape I want in about 10 seconds with minimal cleanup afterwards and no black boogers.
Today I plan to wire everything up and get 'er running with heat and a radio!! (it has been a looong time since it has had a radio) Then I am going to town on a sheet of lexan to make some windows.
oober 12-05-2010, 06:04 PM Well, I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. I got outside and it was a brisk 23*
Put a mini fuse block on the side of the dash, I don't really like it being visible but it will be a lot easier to access.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/PC050013.jpg
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/PC050016.jpg
Still have some more wiring to go.
blazerboy85 12-05-2010, 10:53 PM the dash looks sweet. i still remember the first time i saw this truck in some magazine and how badass i thought it was.
jkh533 12-06-2010, 05:00 AM What is the Red switch for?
What kind of heater is that?
Looking good!
oober 12-06-2010, 06:16 AM The red switch is for my e-fans that are manual control right now. The switch lights red when it is off to remind me to turn them on.
The yellow switch in the middle is the ground wire for my transmission to make it manual/automatic. The reason behind this is since I have an Atlas the trans gets confused with the speed signals when in low and won't shift out of 2nd gear. When you ground the wire it makes the tranny "dumb" and you have to shift it manually with the column no matter if you are in low or hi. (My trans is a 4L60E)
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PB180003.jpg
On the black connector going to the PCM, fish out the grey wire with a black stripe and put a t-splice in it then ground it.
The green switch is just an extra right now but it will light up when off too :D
The dial is control for the heater. I got the heater from summit racing, it was a little cheaper than the mojave and I liked that it is packaged in a metal box.
COPPERHEAD42 12-06-2010, 09:31 AM What is the Red switch for?
What kind of heater is that?
Looking good!
I think he is talking about the battery quick disconnect not the red toggle. :D
Looks good man, going to see you at frostbite ?
jkh533 12-06-2010, 11:45 AM AH yes! Battery disconnect!
oober 12-08-2010, 09:07 PM It works!! :smokin: (insert sound of grown man giggling like school girl)
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PC080022.jpg
Big red: master kill
Red: E-fans
Yellow: Trans ground (discussed above)
Green: CB Radio
Dial: heater control
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PC080026.jpg
Here is a photo of the heater hose hookup and shutoff valve. Not the prettiest, but it should work.
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PC080036.jpg
I can't wait to top off the fluids, zip tie some wires back and drive it tomorrow!!!
mattcarlson 12-09-2010, 11:53 PM for your batter box, what kinda room ya have in the back??? you could cut the side pannel recess it in and use a sealed box to hold the batter and make a bracket that slides in and out for ease of access and have a locking pin on it or something? lol
oober 12-10-2010, 04:12 AM Proof that it moved :p
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j162/coffeedrnkr15/Random%20Pictures/PC090005.jpg
Went to go get some chinese takeout with it last night :smokin:
The heater works well but is like pissing in the wind with half the windows missing.
I will probably just rig the battery up temporary for now, I don't want it in the back because I have an idea.....

Looks good other then that statement. This has always been a great build and it continues to get better. Hope to get together and wheel with ya next year.

oober 12-10-2010, 06:33 PM Whaaaaat, don't diss on Chens Kitchen!! :mr-t:
Thanks for the comments.
I appreciate the theraputic-ness of working on trucks more now that I don't get as many chances. It is something about the earplugs, heavy metal, and plasma cutting that calms me on the inside and keeps me from going postal.

Between work, life, and my masters program I just don't have time to take 'er out and properly flog her :rasta: I have only been wheeling once this year.
If the blazer sells/trades I am wanting to build a nice diesel mechanics/fab truck for myself

times 2 on going postal, took me 8 hours to install a stereo and the ord steering box brace on mine yesterday, oh ya and a heater control switch. My therapy session is over, and a friend of mine stopped by and droped of a girly calander...your build is looking great. I am following it.
Sirg2424 12-16-2010, 09:45 AM Some one slap oober!!!! I can't believe ur going to sell CrAZyBlAzEr, u have alot of heart and soul into that rig. Anyways oober good luck on selling it, I hope who ever buys it has the bug that u got with this rig and continues to mod on it.
oober 01-03-2011, 09:10 PM Still getting stuff done!
It now has a variable temp e-fan controller. Works nice, I had been operating the e-fans on a manual switch for a year now.....(gets old after a while)
Also got the rest of the switches working, and the backglow on my temp gauge working.
I have been meaning to get out there and finish the battery mount, but this accounting class is kicking my butt. With no previous experience and teaching myself I have probably spent 5 hours so far answering 15 questions (including mandatory Pirate4x4 breaks every 10 minutes :D)
oober 02-19-2011, 05:23 PM Well, she is finally gone. Here are some final departing pictures in Denver.

The new owner Shilo is a member on here, and he is more than welcome to continue the thread if he wants to.
My build thread was made in hopes that you all would learn something from it or at least get some ideas. I am going to start a build thread for the new truck, once I think of a new name for it.
Now I get to start the learning process all over because I know absolutely nothing about a carbed 496, besides the fact that it's LOUD :smokin:
Sirg2424 02-19-2011, 05:30 PM Well I am going to miss u working on the CrAZyBlAzEr, and hopefully the new owner will keep us up to date on that rig.....
Looks like the new rig doesn't need much, what plans do you have for it besides naming it?
oober 02-19-2011, 05:39 PM haha, it has a 500+hp engine and almost no brakes
As a part of the trade Shilo gave me a full hydroboost system from a similar truck that should bolt on.
Then the second objective is to put disks on the rear.
blazerboy85 02-20-2011, 04:13 AM wow i cant believe you sold it. but at least you traded for a 67-72, which makes up for you selling the blazer IMO. does it have a 60 with external hubs or is that just a 44? i cant tell
chad30w 02-20-2011, 06:16 AM Oober you have any wiring diagrams from the blazer I saw one on zr2usa but membership is not approved to reply or do anything but look over there......
