anyone know anything about Kawasaki Brute Force 750??

buried it in a creek, sucked water in the intake, tore it apart and got water out of the cyl... can get it to crank and idle fine
but when you give it any throttle it chokes out, won't take any gas... can anyone help?

Not familiar with the BF. Is it efi? Carbed? Could injectors be clogged? Carb in need of cleaning? Fuel filter? Pretty much just standard trouble shooting shit...Hows the air cleaner look? Wet computer?

Sounds like a carb problem to me. Need to change the oil a few times if you have'nt done so. I done this before and I had to change the oil 4 times before it looked good and it still took awhile before it ran right.

You need to drain the carbs 2 or 3 times. Is there water coming out of the muffler? If so, take it off and dump it out and don't put it back on till you get it fired up. Don't forget to change the oil!!

Also look beyond the fuel system. I have a BF750 and have had similar problems, mine turned out to be one of the safety shutdown switches. If you just submerged it, I would take off the belt cover and make sure there is no water in there, and then check the belt tension switch. If this gets tripped, it will cut back the ignition when you give it any kind of throttle. This makes the motor sound like its not getting any fuel, but actually its not getting any fire. It will continue to run this way until you reset the computer. You need to read up on resetting computer, but from what I remember, there is a jumper with a plug on one end right next to the main harness from the computer, unplug the computer and plug jumper in, then turn machine on and off in some sort of sequence.

The emergency brake will also cut the ignition back too... Just something else to try.

Not sure what year yours is, but here is a PDF manual for a 2005. It should cover 06 & 07 as well, but ya may want to double check that. It's about 50 megs. You should be able to right click/save as.
