I reacently purchaced a 2004 TJ with the 2.4L 4 banger motor, 5 speed, 4.11's. I enjoy the jeep so much that ill probly drive nothing else. I've seen thiese lifted jeeps running around town all the time, so i just had to go and get one of my own :smokin:. Im probly gonna want to lift it some time in the future, but im not sure what all i need to make it all work. The set ups around my town all range from the BB to a basic 4" lift, with everything from the 31's to 35's. One guy even has 33x10.5's and a BB which seems to catch my eye the most. The tires on my TJ are the Wrangler GSA 225's which are kinda small for my taste, so im trying to figure out what would be best with the 2.4L motor, mostly because i use the jeep as a DD for work and cant realy afford to dive into the chassy for a fancy lift. Although i am torn between 33x10.5's and a set of 32's.

You should get some 24's and those new super swamper m16s

NO FLAMING in the Non Hardcore section dumbass :flipoff2:

The biggest tire you can fit w/o a lift is a 31x1050. U might have a little rubbing. But with any tire height change and your 2.4l you are going to see major power loss.

ok fine sorry, forgot, well to make up for it here's something productive

If you wanna go all out and make 35's stuff without a lift
http://www.jpmagazine.com/projectbuild/154_0503_1998_jeep_wrangler_tj_tire_fitting/index.html

I had 2" lift coils all around and 1" coils spacer in the front to even out the stance and I ran 33x12.50's with no problem.

If you're gonna go up in tire size I wouldn't go any smaller than 33's or you will just want it bigger real soon :D
