Chris introduced the idea of Team Trading Cards for the fans.
Ma brought up having wrist straps on all timers so that we don't loose anymore down in the boulders.
Introductions by all.
Recognition of new scoring staff help; Ma Rayborn and Chasity Jones.
This will free Debbie up to work on event flow, line-ups, keeping the judges with batteries, pens etc...& picture taking : )
RROCK Mafia Benifits for 2008:
Free trail riding @ Hannibal Rocks
2 Free RROCK Mafia Tshirts
Free lunch @ all RROCK events
Several Get togethers during the year that include a meal such as today and the RROCK Mafia Christmas party.
$30 per RROCK Event
$50 bonus for judges that attend all 4 RROCK events.
Checks will be mailed out the week following the RROCK event. Staff/Judges need to make sure that their name gets on the sign-up sheet at each event.
This all will be coming out of Competitor entry fees. There will be an 80% payback of all competitor event entry fees with the other 20% going to the RROCK judges event pay. None of this money will be going to Hannibal Rocks, Tom or Debbie. RROCK will continue to offer $2000 in extra series money for each class.
All RROCK Series Fees will continue to be 100% payback plus $2000.
A communication info sheet to include everyone's name, address, phone # and email address was passed around for all to fill out.
Event needs were discussed
A minimum of 20 judges per event, minimum 2 judges per course.
Anyone wanting to help Tom with announcing (must be knowledgeable of the events and the sport)
Promotion of events was discussed. We need everyone's help with this.
All event and course rules were discussed and reviewed in detail.
Some specific clarifications:
Missing call to stage which is 5 penalty points. If a team also points out that team will get 45 pts.
All exit gates will be any 2 tires. Progression pts for all gates except for the start gate. Progession pts will be awarded after the entire vehicle goes past the gate with the exception of the finish gate in which it is any 2 tires.
Spotters may exit the course anywhere.
Course Flow/Boundaries:
A team may go through a set of gates and use the designated course boundaries to manuever themselves however they choose to progress to between the next set of gates. No gates may be bypassed. A team is no longer required to re enter the course with the vehicle in the same manner as when they left it.
A cone will be considered "hit" if the center axle breaks the plane over the cone. Also, if a rocked is stacked by a spotter and the vehicle hits the rock and it hits the cone...a gate (10pts) will be counted.
Winching rule will remain one winch penalty per stage.
NEW Vehicle requirement for ALL CLASSES:
A minimum of a 4 point harness will be required.
New Frame rule for the Legends Class:
Frames can be OEM, aftermarket or custom built. Frames rails must be 2” x 4” or larger rectangular tubing. Frame rails must be vertically mounted 4” tall x 2” wide. Rectangular boxed or semi-boxed frames are approved. Frame rails cannot be any shorter than 6” behind the front axle. From 6” behind the front axle to the front of the front tire the frame can be made of round tubing at least 1.5” in diameter. As long as the tube is to follow the bottom of the existing frame rail. Frame Rails cannot be any shorter than the centerline of the rear axle. From the Firewall back, the frame rails cannot be any closer to one another than stock origin at the middle of the chassis and the center of the rear axle for the year of the vehicle.
From the Firewall forward, the frame may be narrowed to 24” outside to outside frame width.
Frame rails must be consistent in height from side to side. The bottom of the frame may not be any higher than the top of the tires between the tires.
(meaning: at the center of the vehicle.)
ProMod Frame rule will follow WEROCKs rule. (Not released at this time)
Again, Mod Stock 08 Requirements will allow all vehicles in for 08 that met requirements for 07. WEROCK 08 Mod Stock requirements will also be allowed.
Cutting Brakes will be allowed in the RROCK 08 Mod Stock Class.
If a team qualifies for the TENTATIVELY scheduled All Stock Nationals, they must meet WEROCK requirements.
Next Meeting is set for 2pm March 2nd at Tom and Debbie's just south of Pittsfield, IL.
Thanks to all that made it.
It was a very successful meeting.
Tom made the statement that he is more enthusiastic about RROCK 08 than he has ever been in previous years.
