Great Question, it means that it will line up perfectly the first time. We use laser cut & welded spacers to align our brackets from the axle tube end mount flange. Not bending the 3/8" steel also means that their will be no minute stress cracks (ie: weak spots) in our brackets. So what you get is a strong quality built product. Compare to any of our competition we have the best product for the price hands down. The other guys sell them for more than us and all you get is two brackets no hardware. Now wouldn't you think they should have the less expensive price? We include brand new grade 8 mounting hardware and two laser cut brackets w/ welded on spacers for less delivered to your door. Since everyone loves math lets do some. Our price $47 delivered. We include eight grade 8 bolts that would run you approx $1.50 each retail. Multiply that by 8 = $12.00 So $47.00 minus $12.00 = $35.00 This is where everyone who buys laser cut brackets in bulk that does not include hardware should be. In the $35-$40 range to your door. Where are they at? Last time I checked around they were all over $47 and no hardware. So for $50 of your hard earned money they expect you to clean up old nasty, greasy junk. Only to install on a nice new set of brake brackets. Sorry just don't see the light.

I've been badgered about my posts again. So I guess i will have to clarify it for everyone. First the axle tube ends on a corporate 14 bolt use 1/2"-20 X 1" Grade 8 bolts. First these are not off the shelf items so if it is not included w/ a kit then you will have to source them somewhere. So w/ that stated I checked out McMaster Carr they sell that exact bolt for $11.01 for a box of 25 no less. However for sake of saying so lets assume you could buy them individually. That equates to .44 cents each, multiplied by 8= $3.52 Well I was wrong then huh? No wait a minute you still have to pay shipping and handling and w/ fuel surcharges thats going to be no less than $10.00 For a grand total of $13.52 min. However so we're all on the same page if you could get those bolts local that store would buy them from someone like Mc Master Carr for .44cents. Then they would put a min of a 150% markup on that item and sell it for $1.10 which makes those 8 bolts cost $8.80 not to mention the cost of the lock washers we already include and your time and expensive fuel getting to the store to find them. Sorry but someone needed help w/ the math.

Parts that work the first time, no big hammer needed!

Laser cut and formed, then welded for a precision fit. Yep leave the BFH on the table no need for it here. These fit the first time. Ghetto is when Jerome has to beat on it for a few to get it to line up! :D

7 years of building disc conversion brackets, no failures. How many pair in use? Who knows or really cares, bottom line they were produced w/ quality and ease of installation in mind. NO BFH needed & no failures to date. Think about it are you really going to shear off 4 new 1/2" grade 8 bolts? Yes they are new not reusing greasy old ones. A 3/4" spacer doesn't give it the kind of leverage it need to shear a bolt of this tensile strength. Its physics guys.

Yes, as long as you do not have a huge back spacing in which case you may need to grind the calipers. You will need to source loaded calipers, caliper bolts, flex hoses and rotors from the front end of a 75 chevy 3/4 ton Dana 44 axle. Thanks Shawn

Yes bending is inexpensive, this is why all the other guys do it this way. It works if you pay attention to quality. However usually the guys running those inexpensive press brakes are not getting paid to care. Buy it here made right the first time.

The one thing you will not need to install our brackets. I big freaking hammer, yes we use precision laser cut tabs to locate the bracket where it needs to be when you bolt it on. No longer will you have to suffice for second best or they are close enough!
