We just received a letter from the BLM thanking all those that turned out for the Johnson Valley clean up day, here is what it said...
Dear Jon
I would like to take the opportunity to personally thank you for your organizing the Johnson Valley OHV area clean up on Oct 13 2001. You and the X-Toys Club members were successful in collecting over a ton of trash in addition to the abandoned car. The volunteer Project is a tremendous example of the leadership and initiative that is essential in improving and maintaining these popular OHV areas.
Through these stewardship efforts, the OHV community has demonstrated their commitment to work collaboratively toward shared goals with their federal partners. On behalf of the BLM Barstow field office, we are proud to present the enclosed certificate with our sincere appreciation for your support. We commend your efforts and look forward to future joint endeavors.
