Have a 2003 Silverado 2500 PU and I was hooking up the trailr last night. I lost the trailr running lights. It seems that I lost power to the plug at the hitch. I looked at the fuse panel and cant tell which is for the running lights. I found the trailer stop and turn fuses. I see I dont have power to the constant + pin on the plug also.
Ideas?

were the fuses ok that you found?
Dont forget there's the fuse panel on the side of the dash and under the hood....

yea. It turns out that the other panel in the engine bay contains the rest of the fuses (couldnt read so well last night). I blew the running light fuse, replaced and Im on the road again.
Thanks

Question for you Jimmy.
The constant pin on the 7 pin connector on the truck plug. I dont seem to have power to it. I want to use it to keep the trailer winch battery charged and a 12V outlet on the trailer.
Where is the fuse for it and/or what would it say on the panel cover

Should be in the under hood fuse box and it may not have a fuse in it.

Is your plug the factory installed option (towing package)?
If so, the spring loaded cover should show what each pin is. Then I assume you can find that circuit labeled on the fuse panel??

Doesnt say on the panel covers and yes, a factory install. I found out later that the stud #1 slot is for the 30A maxi fuse to be installed under the hood panel

Isnt that the one that feeds the oem electric brake jumper harness that plugs in down by the drivers feet?

on a 03, you have to take off the plastic housing that sorounds the under hood fuse panel and the bracket to the fender, there is a red wire with a loop terminal on it. it should be taped to the main harness loom, bolt that to the live stud above it. (should be live if not the maxi fuse is not in) that supplies the 12 volt constant to the 7 way.
