TLCObsession 07-02-2002, 04:08 PM I won the Longfields !!!
My work machine was not logged into the PBB, and when I did there was a message from Camo that I was the winner!
Called Bobby Long, and they are on the way!
Woo Freakin' Hoo!
Things are looking up. I am getting out from under being unemployed for 5 months and this is a nice bonus....
Thanks to the Pirate crew and especially to Bobby Long!

just curious Nolan...would you have said the same thing if I had won the Longfields?
Member #9950
Just because someone is member #12,000 does not mean they are any less into this expensive, very satisfying hobby...Have you checked Texican's member # lately...he seems like a pretty cool dude...
looks like Jim needed a break after his stint of unemployment...congrats Jim!

Nah, probably not since you are a Cruiser guy. Just seems like on the High ANgle Driveline the winner is always someone that signed up yesterday. Lighten up a little.
As for the Texican being a "pretty cool dude", I see you are a pretty poor judge of character..:flipoff2:

Are you being sarcastic about Texican?????????? Never met the guy, but since he is from your neck of the woods you may have had dealings with him!
LOL!!! I was just trying to get a rise out of ya! I agree...it's always the guy who joined the day before...:smokin:
Blue Boar 07-02-2002, 11:48 PM Congratulations! Good to see a cruiser guy win.

Have I had dealings with him? You mean this redneck?
:flipoff2:
wngrog 07-03-2002, 03:49 AM Yeah, I guess you can say Butch, aka Texican is alright. He's the President of my Club and I've got a few battle scars from the trail with him.....
Ask him about that week we spent in Poteau on night...
texican 07-03-2002, 05:35 AM Big Dave..... it's a southern thang, if we ain't raggin' on each other folks might think we were :rainbow:
See what I mean, on his rising and shining habits, posted at 3:49AM........he does this shit on the trail!!!
The only way I see 4 am is to stay up until......
DRUGS!
Butch
Eskimo 07-03-2002, 06:39 AM I dunno why, but I got an urge to add something to that pic...
Just tell me if it's too :rainbow: and I'll delete it... or a better caption?
wngrog 07-03-2002, 07:12 AM When I took that picture Butch's (Mr. I have NEVER broken a Birfield) Lock Right released and I was jumping around like the fiend that I am saying "Birfield, Birfield" and he looked at me and said
"Son, as many Birfields as you've broke, don't you know the difference in a Lock Right releasn' and a DAMN Birfield explodin'?"
Funny caption.....
If you notice Butch's Avitar that is him on the right chopped into that picture of ZZ top..:flipoff2:
Medusa 07-03-2002, 07:35 AM Back to the topic at hand.... WAY TO GO, Jim.
I am really happy to hear about the job, and a free set of Longfields to boot. Far Out.
TLCObsession 07-03-2002, 10:11 AM Yep I am stoked to be working, without having to relocate. I just wish I had gotten more done on the Cruiser when I wasn't working, but being out is stressful and finding work takes time. The new job involves travel & our busy season is coming up - hope I can squeeze some summer wheelin' in....
I did manage to create my tube'd flatfenders. I know lots of guys work hard to keep the fender profile, but I think mine turned out well. When I was up at the IRC in Canada, nearly every Cruiser guy who saw them liked them and asked if I could build them a set.
I need to pull the front clip off for paint, and finish a few tube projects. Oh Yeah - I guess I'll be changing birfs for the 4th time this year!:flipoff2:
Thanks everybody,
Jim

and ahhhh, he has never broken a birfield?
does he have a locked front diff?
does he air down?
does he run bigger than factory tyres?
if yes, WHY has he never broken one??
Big DW 07-03-2002, 10:23 PM he must never be GETTIN IT!:flipoff2:
texican 07-03-2002, 11:07 PM To answer all of your queries....
and ahhhh, he has never broken a birfield?
NOPE
does he have a locked front diff?
Since the day it was built in 1996
does he air down?
usually 4-8psi
does he run bigger than factory tyres?
UHH would 35 x1550 15 be larger than the OEM H78x15, I never can remember....
if yes, WHY has he never broken one??
I'm not a "Nolen" throttle jockey, but there is a lot of luck involved also
I think at last count my daughter and son combined have broken 13....most Kristie
Butch
BJ On Roids 07-03-2002, 11:41 PM 13? between them? BAH thats nothing, i have a drawer full of the little balls here at work, broke another on sunday and one during last week, destroyed the stub axle and both 54mm nuts :nuke: just kept locking back up, ill have done 13 by the end of this year!
got throttle? :flipoff2:
there is a guy i wheel with (posts here as ruff) has broken at least one every time i have wheeled with him, except on sunday, that is the only time he hasnt broken one and i think even he himself was pretty surprised, but other times he has had two broken fronts and so on, maybe your just not GETTIN IT
he has 34s, locked front (ARB) and 4 cylinder, and constantly breaks the birfs, he's probably broken 20 this year
JIM Come AWN you no i need those LONGFIELDS more than you :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
Just ask BJ on roids :D
BJ On Roids 07-04-2002, 05:56 PM thats him :flipoff2:
its like he doesnt think the car will be able to go home, unless he snaps a birfield, and he likes to get a bit of a crowd around to watch him too :flipoff2:
"did i break my indicator" :flipoff2:
